Building According to the Pattern

21/02/2017

Isa 28:13 But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken.

I have learnt that doing things right, takes a lot of effort though with long lasting results than trying to make short cuts. This ofcourse comes with pain of much endurance and long waiting. Precept upon precept and line upon line is a way of making sure that every thing is laid up according to plan. Inspectators of buildings hold a plan in their hands to meticulously check whether builders are following the paln. Demolition is envitable once specifications of the plan or material is tempered with.
Ladies and gentlemen particularly my fellow ministers of the Word of God should be encouraged that we are not in a rush to show to the world that our ministries have really grown so large when the pattern of God (The Bible) is not being followed. God is so particular concerning his plan and purpose and in no way does he lower his standard to suit us. He says in Heb 8:5
"Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount."

Building according to his pattern in these days of great apostacy is trully a mammon task, but which can still be accomplished for we do not work alone. Our God is able to help those who are faithful to his cause because when he begins he finishes. Paul says in Php 1:6 "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:!"

It's good to have so many ministries out there becuase it helps spread the Gospel fast. However is must be the true Gospel and not another as we are witnessing unfortunately in so many ministries.

2Co 11:3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

Ga 1:6 ¶ I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel:

7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.

2Tim 3:2-4 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;
4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

The Bible is so explicit and has already warned us about these things.
Ministers let's do it precept upon precept and line upon line.

Amen

Decieved by what looks "GOOD".......

when Eve looked at the Tree of the knowledge of good and evil she saw everything good. "And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat."

Notice words like GOOD, PLEASANT, DESIRED....
Truly she got convinced that nothing bad would come out of such kind of a GOOD TREE!
My concern is no longer Eve and Adam but us. I mean us who are still living! So amazing that the Devil has not changed his ways of decieving people. The Bible is clear to describe him as the angel of lght, "And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light" (2Cor 11:14).

Why transforming himself like an angel of light? He wants to look GOOD inorder to decieve. It is unlikely to be decieved when a thing looks so bad. Even those who produce counterfeit notes make sure it really looks Good and original and it take either a machine or one who is truly trained in original notes to detect a fake note.

Ladies and gentlemen it's easy and it's happening every day that people are being decieved by things and people who appear GENUINE. The Bible bemoans people who are perishing for simply LACK OF KNOWLEDGE. "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee......" (Hosea 4:6)

Knowledge is simply taking personal time to study the Bible."Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." 2Tim 2:15.
Hey let's be like the church at Berea who were different from those of Thessanonica because they would verify the message of a pastor, apostle, prophet etc with scriptures. "These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so." ( Acts 17:11)

The problem, infact BIG PROBLEM we have with today's Christians is that they idolized pastors, teachers, prophets etc making them gods. They think these men and women of God are infaliable making a very conducive environmment for the devil to decieve many. They are people! They are Human and can miss one or two things!

Wake up! Wake up! the Devil wants to decieve even the very elect, "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect." (Matt 24:24)

It is my earnest prayer that God may give us understanding and descernment to know the spirit behind anything even those that LOOK GOOD!

Don't be decieved by the "GOOD"! I mean you!

1 Thes 5:23 says. “And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole SPIRIT and SOUL and BODY be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Paul brings out 3 distinct things here, which reveal that a person is a tripartite being, SPIRIT, SOUL and BODY. Simple put a person is a Spirit Being, who has a Soul and lives in a Body.
If we fail to distinguish this composition we will not understand certain things contained in the Word of God. I have witnessed people confusing and mixing up these three, referring this one to the Body when it is meant for the Spirit or Soul or either way.
The Spirit man is the real you. When a person is not born again, the spirit is separated from God and is considered dead until such a time a person makes a decision to be born again. Nicodemus got confused how possible it could be for a person of his stature to be born again (John 3:3-4). He was confusing things here, referring things pertaining to the spirit man to the body. What gets regeneration instantly when a person is born again is the spirit. He becomes new. 2 Cor 5:17, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become.” Please take note that your body does not change simple because you are born again. It is your spirit man who is instantly born again and seats with Christ in the heavenly places. “And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:” (Eph 2:6). This has absolutely nothing to do with the Body or the Soul. It is the Spirit man.
Once the spirit man is born again, then God is able to communicate with the Spirit who now knows the will of the father. The challenge still remains because your Soul has begun a new journey of learning the things of God. In most cases there is contradiction between what the spirit man wants to do with what the Soul is used to do. Things of God remain a foreign language to the Soul. This is why you hear Paul saying in Rom 7:18-19, “For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.” This war within a person is caused by the spirit man who now knows the will of God and wants to do it, but however because the soul is yet to learn the things of God, it becomes a contraction. When a person is born again the kingdom of God is now in him, the spirit man, as we find in Luke 17:21, “Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.” But the soul still needs to find how this works and hence the soul must now begin to seek and to align to the ethics, principles, ideas, and ways etc. of this kingdom that is within. Matthew 6:33, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” The soul had his own way of acquiring earthly things and now he has to be educated on the new ways of God concerning earthly things. You can agree with me here that the soul is in trouble, no wonder why from time to time the soul jumps ship and try to do things the other way, ending up doing what the spirit man negates.
When a person is born again, the soul begins a process of regeneration. There is a lot of yielding that is needed to transform the 3 things contained in the soul of person, namely the Mind (thinking patterns), The Emotions (feelings) and the Will (choices and decisions). This takes a lot willingness and yielding to the Holy Spirit to transform these three things till they are able to obey Christ. Paul refers to them as a stronghold in 2Cor 10:3-5, “For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.”
It is the soul of a person which needs renewal and transformation from conformity to the standards of the world to the will of God. Romans 12:2, “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” So the soul must be educated to pray, stay in the Word of God which brings Faith, fellowship with other Christians, listen to Christian music etc. The soul has to endure unto the end; otherwise there is no point where we say the soul is now totally saved like what the spirit man is. “But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved (Matt 24:13).
Then the body is one thing that is earthly and does not get born again, neither does it transform like the soul of a person. The inclinations of the body are all earthly and have a zero appreciation of heavenly things. Until at the end when it shall be changed, putting on immortality, the body needs serious check and guard. 1Cor 15:50-54, “Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption. Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.”
I tell you all what the body needs is sacrifice. The body has to be sacrificed in order to do the will of God. Romans 12:1, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.” And in 2 Cor 9:27 he says, “But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.”
Yes brethren when we get saved, our spirit man is saved, but there remain trouble within our soul which would have started a process of regeneration which can only be accomplished when Christ comes back. The body won’t get saved until Christ comes then it will be clothed with immortality!
Stay blessed. Amen!

Today I would want to spare time and share about FAITH. Scriptures reveal how critical this subject is. Hebrews 11.6 says, “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Our Christian walk is a life of an endeavor to please God, and the Bible did not hide that one element which pleases God. Inevitably it is FAITH. Paul says again in Rom 14:23, “……..for whatever is not of faith is sin!” There we go, and now it becomes more clearly why FAITH is important, because if you leave it behind in whatever you are doing, then you must know you are sinning.
Again Jesus said in Luke 18:8, “….. Nevertheless when the son of man cometh, shall he find FAITH on the earth.” How essential FAITH is becoming to this extreme that Jesus would be looking for those with FAITH, when he comes back again to take his saints.
Having read these verses it therefore becomes more imperative to get to understand what this FAITH is all about.
Hebrews 11:1 helps us to define what FAITH is: “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Mathematically FAITH = SUBSTANCE OF THINGS HOPED FOR or FAITH = EVIDENCE OF THINGS NOT SEEN.
Hebrews is talking about THINGS we don’t have now. Those are THINGS we are hoping to have and we can’t see them here physically because they are not here with us. In other words the fact that we can’t see them now does not mean they are not there. They are there and we need to look at them through the eye of FAITH; 2Cor 4:18 says, “While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” There we go; there are THINGS which do exist though they may not be visible to the natural eye. We need to overcome the deception of saying if we can’t see them then there are not there.
Though God we can’t see him but he is there and we go to him through FAITH. So then what’s this SUBSTANCE or this EVIDENCE of THINGS not seen?
Romans 10:17 says, “So then FAITH cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” It is clear that FAITH has a SOURCE where it comes from. It is from the Word of God. Therefore as you read the Bible, hear people preach and teach the Word of God, you will be acquiring FAITH. No wonder why God himself directed Joshua to the SOURCE OF FAITH; Joshua 1:8 says, “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” David dedicated 150 verses to the Word of God in Psalms 119. As you constantly and persistently dwell in the Word of God you will be “building up yourself on your most Holy FATH!”
Therefore it means whatever THING you are hoping for you need to have first SUSTANCE or EVIDENCE which is the WORD OF GOD. Please always remember this that God does not use the Word in the Bible in your situation, but the Word you have taken from the Bible. The Word that is in you is the effective Word of God and that is the Word God uses in your situation and circumstance!
Therefore SUBSTANCE becomes the Word of God in you that you have conviction of, or convinced that it will come to pass in your life. We might not see thing hoped for now, but at least we must be able to see the EVIDENCE or SUBSTANCE of the Word of God concerning the THING HOPED FOR OR the THING NOT SEEN! Without substance or Evidence you will still be HOPING and not yet operating in FAITH. Unfortunately most people remain hoping and confessing positively! Remember FAITH is now! So when we come to you we need to see SUBSTANCE and the kind of action you are taking towards the THING HOPED for! Real FAITH leads you into action and either people will hear you say it or do something. 2Cor 4:13 says, “ We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak.” In Luke 5:20, Jesus saw their FAITH, “And when he saw their FAITH, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.” Because FAITH without works (action) is dead. James 2:18; 20; 26.
Essentially in order to have anything that you need or hope for, you need to have FAITH, which is the SUBSTANCE, which is the WORD OF GOD that you are convinced of. That conviction which Abraham had when God promised him. Though he faced 2 enemies of FAITH mainly DELAY and CONTRADICTION, he did not waiver through unbelief. Rom 4:18-20, “Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, so shall thy seed be. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb. He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God.”
Remember also that when FAITH ceases to pray it ceases to live. You always need to pray giving glory to God as for the thing already received in your spirit man, then it will manifest physically.
Jesus says in Mark 11:24, “Therefore I say unto you, what things so ever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” Notice 2 things here: YE RECEIVE THEM (Present) and SHALL HAVE THEM (future)! The things we HOPE FOR, THINGS NOT SEEN, we need to receive them now by FAITH, that is by receiving the Word of God in our spirit man. When we do that, there is a waiting period before manifestation (having). This waiting period is the most challenging period because we don’t know when exactly it will happen in as much as we would have received it already in our spirit. For Abraham we waited for 25 years even though he had already received Isaac in his spirit.
The writer of the book of Hebrews says something we don’t want to hear, “ These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.”
Yes even though we have FAITH we don’t determine the TIME factor and the GOD factor. God in his infinite wisdom controls when things happen in our lives. So For us is to BELEIVE and for him is to PERFORM at his own time. And all you have to do is not to lose your confidence of Faith. Heb 10:35. Continue to fight the good fight of FAITH, 1Tim 6:12 until you finish your course. “I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:” (2Tim 4:7).
Don’t lose it keep it until he comes, keep FAITH! Amen

2 Cor 8:9 "For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich."
They are 3 words i want to talk about here:
The first one is GRACE.
When I think about grace, I think about failure, despondence, damnation, death and you can add on to the list. It is when one has completely failed after trying so hard through whatever means is available. It is when one realizes how doomed he is without anyone to rescue.
Such is with the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we were doomed because of our sin. He became sin for us and hanged on the tree of Calvary such that we may become the righteousness of God (2Cor 5:21). Transferring us from death to life. No one deserves it but he favoured us without any merit. We cannot do anything more about it. When we wait for our fate and doom then we need grace to come to our rescue.
The second word is POVERTY:
The Bible is saying though he was rich, and the question is, rich in what? Could it be silver and gold, could it be cattle in a thousand hills, or could it be houses and cars? I don't think this is what Paul is concerned about, neither our Lord Jesus Christ. These things were his from the beginning and shall remain his forever. Infact he will destroy any of these things at his own time and will. Remember that we are talking about God himself, leaving the comfort of heaven where angels and all the heavenly hosts praise and worship him day and night.
We are talking about The Almighty taking the human form, made himself of no avail and reputation, dying on the cross (Phil 2:5-10).
The poverty here is about that humility of striping himself of his divinity and be born like a human being, tasting the frailty of human nature, being tempted at all points as human yet he was God. Ladies and gentlemen our Lord Jesus Christ did not lose any ounce of gold to be poor. He left for 33 years the riches of the comfort of heaven leaving on earth as a human being for our sakes. Our God was condemned to a shameful death on a cross together with thieves and robbers. Our God died like a nobody though he was able to command legions of angels to rescues him. This is how he chose to become poor to bring us to the third word.
RICHES.
Did our Lord do all this because we didn’t have money? because we didn't have good houses and cars? Remember the church at Laodicea in Revelation 3:17 "Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased in goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind and naked".
Is this not humbling ladies and gentlemen especially as we stampede to amass worldly riches in the pretext that he became poor in order that through his poverty we may become rich. Hear what he says on verse 18. "I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that though mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see."
I'm not at all opposed to acquiring these things. In Matthew 6:32-33 our Lord Jesus assured us that he knows we need these things and gave us a principle of how they are added to us. I am opposed to seeking the wrong things as the Bible is very clear about it.
Ladies and Gentlemen let me be bold that we have become so rich when we gave our lives to the Lord. That moment when our names were written in the Book of life. And at that moment, joy was in heaven and shall ever be over one sinner that repenteth (Luke 15:7). That why Jesus Christ remarked in Matthew 16:26 “For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?” To know Jesus Christ as Lord and savior for your life is more than having all the things of this world. Paul say in 1Tim 6:6 “ But godliness with contentment is great gain.”
Once our lives are secure in the Lord then let him add silver, gold, cars and houses to us because we need them also here on earth. But first things first. Don't put the cart before the horse.
Let's be sober and think about how we have become rich to be children of God because he chose to be poor by leaving heaven to come down and die for you and me! Remember your brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers relative, friends, workmates etc. they are poor without Christ though they may have things that we envy. They need Christ MORE THAN EVER!
May God Bless you as you reach out to lost souls making them rich in Christ Jesus. Amen!
