ABC OF PURPOSE



As a child, you were very brave; you consistently crossed the boundaries. You were determined to conquer. You got up every time you failed and learnt to walk, talk and become independent as a result. However, during your conquering you received regular, and sometimes painful correction. You soon learned that there were certain parameters within which you were expected to operate. You began to stay on the inside of those boundaries. It did not take long for you to form a habit of operating within these limits. Today you are accustomed to keeping the boundaries you have created at a distance, Deep down you know that beyond the walls or limits you have set lies the freedom to explore and discover the true you. Beyond the invisible boundaries of fear lies the opportunity to become who you were born to be. Maybe it's your time to be bold and step into life by becoming a line crosser.

The excitement lives on!!! We have so much belief that this is our season and YES IT IS. Just be at the right place, at the right time ;) Tomorrow we are handling one of the most challenging issues of our generation, COMMITMENT!! They say "DECIDE.COMMIT.SUCCEED." After deciding, one also needs to decide on whether to commit or not to commit then go back to square number one. After tomorrow evening you are surely going to have an hour or two, back home..reevaluating your commitments, "you know them". ;) Join us tomorrow evening for an in-depth discussion led by one of our finest moderators and discussion facilitators in Bradley. At 1730hrs our prayer & Intercession kick starts,come prepared.

ABC OF PURPOSE

"In January 2007 I attended the very first church service for the year. I find it important to start the year this way. As the morning progressed, the worship leader read a passage of scripture I had heard many times before. It was the story of a blind man sitting on the side of the road calling to Jesus to have mercy on him. While everyone tried to silence the man, Jesus turned and asked him what he wanted. This did not only surprise me, it shocked me to the core. It challenged one of my fundamental beliefs, namely that God knows all my needs before I even ask Him, therefore I need not ask, but He would simply provide. All those who were present on that day, would have known the man was blind and wanted to see, but Jesus knew the man had been given a free will and in order to have the authority to heal him, the man would have to give him permission by asking for the healing. Isn't it time you started asking?"

ABC OF PURPOSE



Keeping a daily journal can become your most rewarding activity and greatest legacy. It is a chore we seldom find the time to do yet once done, it becomes something we are proud of. Writing a letter to your spouse may be equally challenging, but when you consider the rewards or benefits, the exercise quickly becomes a must do. When you associate a worthwhile reward with what you are writing or recording, the perceived effort is transformed into a pleasurable one. When you begin to experience the revelation of an answered prayer you recorded, made a purposeful difference in someone's life by sharing an inspirational quote you wrote down, or learnt the lesson inking your experience from a mistake made, that journaling will become an effortless habit. Make a start today, keep it simple and have fun, you will be ecstatic you did.

ABC OF PURPOSE



They say that life is a journey and that we should enjoy the ride. During one of our Friday sessions, we were discussing the speed at which life seems to be passing us by and how it appeared that we are so busy contemplating our next move that we miss the one we are supposed to be making. It inspired this quote 'learn from yesterday, plan for tomorrow and live today'. In the continued discussion we agreed that the most of our today is spent regretting what we did or didn't do yesterday or worrying about what may or may not happen tomorrow. Consequently we are missing today, this moment, right now. Let us begin to focus on the now. If someone is talking to you, listen to his or her every word without planning what you are going to say next. be intent on making the most of this now moment called life. It is the potential to be your greatest investment.

How can you make the most of your today??

This week we are so happy to be introducing one of our most promising and exciting young people in our group, to be leading us through our session for the very first time. In line with the group's vision of "Building Growth, Confidence, Maturity, and Security through Christ Jesus". Please be as punctual, especially for the prayer and intercession half hour starting at 1730hrs sharp! Lets invest in this period(prayer session) and we'll conquer the days, the weeks, the months and the years to follow. Continue having a splendid week full of His grace.

ABC OF PURPOSE



John Maxwell says that 'Leadership is influence, nothing more, nothing less'. When you inspire people to do things they would otherwise not have done, you have influenced them and are therefore leading them. Sometimes, we are the ones needing to be influenced. We need to have a vision that inspires us to greater heights, one that gets us out of our comfort zone. Far too often, the things we buy and the places we go, are inspired by the plans of others. It is highly likely that most of the things you have were advertised and your were sold on them. If pictures are so powerful, why not create your own advertisement? Begin to sell yourself on your own dreams, on your own ideal lifestyle, on the things that really matter. People who have done this will tell you that it works. Influence yourself with your own vision board.

ABC OF PURPOSE



If you have ever seen someone who is on a mission, you have observed the power of inspiration at work. Often, just watching or being aware of their pursuit of a goal, will inspire you. Inspiration tends to rub off easily onto those who see or hear it at work. In fact, one inspired person can uplift the spirits of a whole family who in turn can cause an entire community to strive for better and greater things. The words, 'I have a dream' still inspire people today and will, in all probability, continue to do so for generations to come. Anyone who has a goal in front of them and not behind has hope for a better tomorrow. With hope comes inspiration. Be an inspiration to those around you and see how they will reciprocate and inspire you many times over. Be the spark that ignites the flame which fires up a nation. You have it within you. Believe it and it will be so.

ABC OF PURPOSE



When you have a goal in front and not behind, you have hope. We live in a society that could easily be classified as one of hopelessness, a society in which people lack direction and do not where they are going. I call it Directionless Existence. People are not goalless because they are hopeless, but rather they are hopeless because they are goalless. It does not matter how hopeless you feel right now, if you begin to dream and write down a defined goal, you will become hopeful. You will begin to feel flowing back into your being. You will begin to experience a new sense of energy. Suddenly you will have a reason to live, a reason to get up again and begin to leave your mark. You will see the world through a new set of eyes. Where you once saw despair and lack, you will now see hope and abundance. Set yourself a clear goal and experience a hope explosion.
