🌟 Know The Member – Thami Mpala 🌟
As the outgoing Society Steward of Greendale Methodist Church, Thami describes his season of leadership as a true privilege. The biggest lesson he carries with him is the importance of communication — ensuring that God’s message flows clearly from leadership to every member of the congregation. One of his most fulfilling moments has been witnessing the steady growth of the church, not only in numbers but in stronger structures, committees, and fellowship groups.
As an engineer, Thami approaches leadership with attentiveness, compassion, confidence, and a strong focus on implementation. He is especially proud of introducing the new church offertory boxes and initiating the Car Boot Sale, both of which left a meaningful impact. When leadership feels heavy, his faith anchors him, reminding him that God equips those He calls. Outside of church and engineering, he is a passionate sports enthusiast with dreams of one day running a sports academy.
Describing his leadership style as humble, hard-working, and respectful, Thami encourages incoming leaders to remain united and remember they are serving God. For him, serving faithfully means giving your whole life to God’s purpose and being a light that inspires others to walk with Christ. ✨
