Good morning HPC Family.
Morning Devotion
Isaiah 30:41, “but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint.”
Beloved in the Lord, today marks the 7th day of Strengthening our Spiritual Foundation through Prayer and Fasting. Friends, this is the time when temptations begin to rise. Of course, we have been running since day one and now as we are about to reach the finish line but I tell you, these last few laps are the toughest because your flesh will begin to complain and it begins to get tired.
As we speak, some are now beginning to grow weary, some are now feeling the tiredness of the flesh, and some are now sensing the symptoms of sickness of some sort and are about to quit or give up. Beloved in the Lord, let us be hopeful in the Lord. To be hopeful in the Lord means to have confidence in God's plans for us and to trust that God will respond to our needs. It is to have the confidence that God is drawing us to a communion with him, through making us not focus on things that concern and pleases the flesh.
So, I am challenging you not to give up because you were not called to give up, do not quit because you were not called to quit, you are never a quitter and you did not start this race to quit in the middle. Our hope in the Lord is an anchor for our souls which is firm and secure. Do not grow weary but be hopeful in the Lord, and if you hope in the Lord, he will renew your strength. Strength that, even when your stomach asks for food, you will find the courage to get going without food, strength that even when you have been suffering from low self-esteem, rejection and denial, God will give you the courage to face the year 2025 with confidence. He will grant you the strength to command with authority your situation and its challenges, your sickness, your loneliness, your bleeding and troubled heart, your disjointed family, remember God Himself promised to be your Strength. So, delight yourself in Him throughout this 2025 Spiritual Foundation making, that you may enjoy His blessing throughout the year. Remember a foundation is always difficult to make but if done properly, the building will stand in good shape for long. Just like how painful it is to lay a foundation, so is to strengthen our spiritual foundation through prayer and fasting, but the promise to soar on wings like an eagle flying high above our situation is guaranteed.
May the peace of the Lord guide you throughout this day.
