🌍 Romans 5:9 — Justified by His Blood, Saved from Wrath Part 20.

🔥🔥🔥Pentecost Sunday 🔥🔥

Sunday 24 May 2026.
New Dawn Daily Devotional With Apostle Joel

♦️Rom 5:9 KJ2000 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

✅Rom 5:9 GW Since Christ’s blood has now given us God’s approval, we are even more certain that Christ will save us from God’s anger.

đź“– Salvation Has a Future Dimension Part 1/14

The phrase “we shall be saved” is one of the great assurances of the Christian faith. Paul moves from present justification to future deliverance, teaching that those who have been declared righteous by God through faith in Christ have a guaranteed future. Salvation is not only something believers have received; it is also something that will reach its glorious completion.

📜 Scripture: Romans 5:9; Hebrews 9:28; 1 Peter 1:5

đź’ˇ Key Truth: Salvation is past, present, and future. Romans 5:9 emphasizes the future completion of salvation.

📝 Devotional

Many Christians think of salvation only as a past event:

📌 “I got saved.”

That is gloriously true—but it is not the whole story.

The Bible presents salvation in three dimensions:

1♦️ Past Salvation — Justification

At the moment of faith in Christ, the believer was saved from the penalty of sin.

♟️forgiven
♟️justified
♟️reconciled
♟️accepted before God

This is a finished act.

📖 Ephesians 2:8 — “For by grace are you saved through faith…”

2♦️ Present Salvation — Sanctification

After conversion, the believer is being delivered from the power of sin through the Holy Spirit and the Word of God.

This is the ongoing work of grace.

📖 1 Corinthians 1:18 — “…unto us who are being saved…”

3♦️ Future Salvation — Glorification

Romans 5:9 emphasizes this aspect:

📌 “we shall be saved”

One day salvation will reach its final completion.

Believers will be delivered from:

♟️the presence of sin
♟️death
♟️corruption
♟️judgment
♟️suffering
♟️wrath
♟️the curse

The Christian life is not moving toward uncertainty—it is moving toward glory.

Salvation is not merely forgiveness.

It is a complete rescue that ends in eternal perfection.

One day:

♟️faith becomes sight
♟️struggle becomes victory
♟️weakness becomes glory
♟️warfare becomes rest

The believer’s future is secure because Christ’s work is complete.

🤔 Daily Reflection

Do I live as though salvation is only about the past, or do I live with joyful expectation of its future completion?

🙏 Daily Confession

Father, I thank You that my salvation is not only a past experience but a future certainty. What You began in Christ, You will complete in glory. Help me to live today with hope, expectation, and an eternal perspective. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

To be continued....

🤝Prayer

Merciful Father, we thank You for granting us the keys to understand the mysteries of the book of Romans. Father, guide us to comprehend Your Word deeply—precept upon precept, line upon line, word upon word, scripture upon scripture, chapter upon chapter. Equip us, by Your Spirit, to be exegetical and expositional teachers who faithfully unfold the truths of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Holy Spirit, lead us as we embark on this rich journey of meticulously searching the depths of Your Word, especially the profound truths in Romans Chapter 5. 🌍 Romans 5:9 — Justified by His Blood, Saved from Wrath Part 19.

Saturday 23 May 2026.

💦🤝Living Daily by His Blood Part 7/7

The blood of Christ is not only the basis of salvation in the past—it shapes the believer’s present life and future hope.

Believers continue to stand in grace because of Christ’s finished work.

đź“– Hebrews 10:19 (KJ2000)

📌“Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus.”

The blood of Christ gives believers:

♟️assurance before God,
♟️cleansing from sin,
♟️confidence in prayer,
♟️and motivation for holy living.

đź“– 1 John 1:7 (KJ2000)

📌“And the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin.”

This does not encourage careless living. Rather, grace motivates believers toward holiness.

đź“– Titus 2:11-12 (KJ2000)

📌“For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly…”

The believer’s assurance is grounded in Christ’s blood, not fluctuating emotions or personal achievements.

Because Christ has already secured salvation:

♟️believers can resist condemnation,
♟️endure suffering,
♟️overcome temptation,
♟️and persevere in faith.

đź“– Romans 8:1 (KJ2000)

📌“There is therefore now no condemnation to them who are in Christ Jesus.”

The same blood that justified believers will ultimately bring them safely into eternal glory.

🌿 Daily Reflection

Am I living daily in confidence, holiness, and gratitude because of Christ’s sacrifice?

👉 The blood of Christ secures my past forgiveness, present standing, and future hope.

🗣️ Daily Confession

Father, I thank You that the blood of Jesus Christ continually reminds me of Your grace, mercy, and faithfulness. Teach me to live daily in holiness, assurance, gratitude, and dependence upon Christ. I reject condemnation, fear, and self-righteousness because my hope is anchored in the finished work of Jesus Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏

🌍 Romans 5:9 — Justified by His Blood, Saved from Wrath Part 18.

Friday 22 May 2026.

💦🤝The Resurrection and the Blood of Christ Part 6/7

The blood of Christ and the resurrection of Christ cannot be separated.

The cross accomplished redemption, but the resurrection publicly declared the victory and acceptance of Christ’s sacrifice.

đź“– Romans 4:25 (KJ2000)

📌“Who was delivered for our offenses, and was raised again for our justification.”

The resurrection proves:

♟️Christ truly conquered sin,
♟️death was defeated,
♟️the Father accepted the sacrifice,
♟️and salvation is secure.

Without the resurrection, the cross would remain incomplete.

đź“– 1 Corinthians 15:17 (KJ2000)

📌“And if Christ is not raised, your faith is vain; you are yet in your sins.”

But Christ rose bodily from the dead.

đź“– Romans 1:4 (KJ2000)

📌“Declared to be the Son of God with power… by the resurrection from the dead.”

Because Christ lives:

♟️believers are justified,
♟️death has lost its final power,
♟️and eternal life is guaranteed.

The risen Christ continually intercedes for His people.

đź“– Hebrews 7:25 (KJ2000)

📌“He ever lives to make intercession for them.”

Therefore, believers can have full assurance that the blood of Christ accomplished eternal redemption.

🌿 Daily Reflection

Do I live with resurrection hope and confidence in Christ’s victory?

👉 The risen Christ guarantees my salvation and future resurrection.

🗣️ Daily Confession

Lord Jesus, I thank You that You rose victoriously from the dead. Thank You that Your resurrection proves the power and sufficiency of Your sacrifice. Help me to live daily with hope, confidence, and joyful expectation. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏

Thursday 21 May 2026.

💦🤝Reconciled Through His Blood Part 5/7

đź“– Romans 5:9-10 (KJ2000)

📌“Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son…”

Sin created separation between humanity and God.

Human beings were not morally neutral before God; they were enemies in rebellion against Him.

đź“– Colossians 1:21 (KJ2000)

📌“And you, that were once alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works…”

But through Christ’s death, reconciliation became possible.

Reconciliation means:

♟️restored relationship,
♟️restored peace,
♟️and restored fellowship with God.

đź“– 2 Corinthians 5:18-19 (KJ2000)

📌“God… has reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ…”

The blood of Christ removed the barrier of sin.

đź“– Ephesians 2:13 (KJ2000)

📌“But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off are made near by the blood of Christ.”

Believers are no longer strangers or enemies. Through Christ, they are:

♟️adopted into God’s family,
♟️brought into fellowship,
♟️and granted access to the Father.

The cross transformed:

♟️guilt into peace,
♟️alienation into fellowship,
♟️and enemies into children.

🌿 Daily Reflection

Do I approach God as a reconciled child or as though I am still distant and rejected?

👉 Through Christ, I have peace with God.

🗣️ Daily Confession

Father, I thank You that through the blood of Jesus Christ I have been reconciled to You. Thank You that I am no longer separated, condemned, or distant from Your presence. Help me to walk daily in fellowship, prayer, and communion with You. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏

✅Rom 5:9 GW Since Christ’s blood has now given us God’s approval, we are even more certain that Christ will save us from God’s anger.

💦🤝Redeemed by His Blood Part 4/7

The blood of Christ accomplished redemption.

Redemption refers to liberation through the payment of a price.

Humanity is born under:

♟️sin,
♟️spiritual death,
♟️bo***ge,
♟️and condemnation.

đź“– Romans 5:12 (KJ2000)

📌“Therefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin…”

Sin enslaves humanity.

đź“– John 8:34 (KJ2000)

📌“Whosoever commits sin is the servant of sin.”

But Christ came to redeem sinners.

đź“– Ephesians 1:7 (KJ2000)

📌“In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins…”

The blood of Christ was the ransom price securing freedom from:

♟️guilt,
♟️condemnation,
♟️Satan’s dominion,
♟️and slavery to sin.

đź“– 1 Peter 1:18-19 (KJ2000)

📌“You were not redeemed with corruptible things… But with the precious blood of Christ…”

Christ became a curse for sinners so that they might receive blessing and life.

đź“– Galatians 3:13 (KJ2000)

📌“Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us…”

Redemption means believers no longer belong to darkness. They belong to Christ.

🌿 Daily Reflection

Am I living as someone redeemed, or am I still allowing sin and fear to dominate me?

👉 Christ purchased my freedom through His blood.

🗣️ Daily Confession

Father, I thank You that through the blood of Jesus Christ I have been redeemed from sin and condemnation. Break every chain of fear, bo***ge, and worldly influence in my life. Teach me to walk in the freedom and holiness that belong to redeemed children of God. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏

🌍 Romans 5:9 — Justified by His Blood, Saved from Wrath Part 15.

Tuesday 19 May 2026.

💦🤝Propitiation and the Wrath of God Part 3/7

The blood of Christ not only justifies believers—it saves them from wrath.

God’s wrath is His holy and righteous judgment against sin.

Because God is perfectly holy, sin cannot be ignored, excused, or overlooked.

đź“– Habakkuk 1:13 (KJ2000)

📌“You are of purer eyes than to behold evil…”

The cross reveals that God’s love does not cancel His justice. Rather, His justice was satisfied through Christ’s sacrifice.

Romans 3:25 describes Christ as the propitiation for sin.

đź“– Romans 3:25 (KJ2000)

📌“Whom God has set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood…”

Propitiation means that Christ’s sacrifice satisfied the righteous demands of God’s holiness.

On the cross, Christ bore judgment in the place of sinners.

đź“– Isaiah 53:6 (KJ2000)

📌“And the LORD has laid on him the iniquity of us all.”

During His suffering, Christ experienced judicial abandonment as He bore the penalty of sin.

đź“– Matthew 27:46 (KJ2000)

📌“My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?”

This was not a breakdown within the Trinity, nor did Christ become sinful in nature. Rather, as the sin-bearing substitute, He endured the judgment sinners deserved.

The cross demonstrates:

♟️God’s hatred of sin,
♟️God’s love for sinners,
♟️and God’s perfect justice.

Because Christ bore wrath, believers who trust in Him are delivered from condemnation.

🌿 Daily Reflection

Do I recognize the seriousness of sin and the greatness of Christ’s sacrifice?

👉 Jesus endured judgment so that I might receive mercy.

🗣️ Daily Confession

Holy God, I thank You that Jesus Christ bore the judgment my sins deserved. Thank You that through His sacrifice I am no longer condemned. Help me to hate sin, love righteousness, and walk in reverence before You. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏

🌍 Romans 5:9 — Justified by His Blood, Saved from Wrath Part 14.

Monday 18 May 2026.

💦🤝Justified by His Blood Part 2/7

Paul teaches that believers are “justified by His blood.”

To justify means:

♟️to declare righteous,
♟️to acquit from guilt,
♟️or to pronounce accepted before God.

Justification is a legal declaration made by God.

Because all humanity sinned in Adam and personally sinned against God, every person stands guilty before divine justice.

đź“– Romans 3:23 (KJ2000)

📌“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”

No human being can earn righteousness through works, religious rituals, or moral effort.

đź“– Romans 3:20 (KJ2000)

📌“Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight…”

Yet God, in grace, provided righteousness through Jesus Christ.

đź“– Romans 3:24 (KJ2000)

📌“Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.”

The basis of justification is Christ’s blood.

The means by which justification is received is faith.

Christ’s sacrificial death satisfied God’s righteous demands against sin so that God can remain just while justifying sinners who believe.

đź“– Romans 3:26 (KJ2000)

📌“That he might be just, and the justifier of him who believes in Jesus.”

When a sinner trusts in Christ:

♟️sins are forgiven,
♟️righteousness is credited,
♟️condemnation is removed,
♟️and peace with God is established.

đź“– Romans 5:1 (KJ2000)

📌“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”

This justification is complete and irreversible because it rests on Christ’s finished work and God’s faithfulness.

🌿 Daily Reflection

Am I basing my confidence on Christ’s righteousness or my own performance?

👉 My acceptance before God rests entirely upon Jesus Christ.

🗣️ Daily Confession

Father, I thank You that I have been justified by the blood of Jesus Christ. I reject all confidence in my own righteousness and place my trust fully in Christ alone. Thank You that I now stand forgiven, accepted, and at peace with You. Teach me to live daily in the assurance of Your grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏

To be continued.......

🌍 Romans 5:9 — Justified by His Blood, Saved from Wrath Part 13.

Sunday 17 May 2026.

🤝💦The Meaning of “By His Blood” Part 1/7

The phrase “by His blood” stands at the center of the gospel. In Scripture, blood represents life poured out in sacrificial death. From the animal sacrifices in Genesis and Leviticus to the cross of Jesus Christ, God progressively revealed that sin demands judgment and that forgiveness requires substitution.

When the apostle Paul says believers are “justified by his blood,” he teaches that salvation rests entirely upon the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ on behalf of sinners. Christ bore judgment, satisfied divine justice, reconciled believers to God, redeemed them from bo***ge, and secured eternal salvation through His atoning death and victorious resurrection.

📌The phrase “by His blood” refers to the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ on the cross.

Throughout Scripture, blood represents life given in sacrifice. Leviticus 17:11 declares:

đź“– Leviticus 17:11 (KJ2000)

📌“For the life of the flesh is in the blood…”

Under the Old Covenant, God ordained animal sacrifices to teach Israel that sin required judgment and that forgiveness required substitution.

From the coats of skin provided for Adam and Eve (Genesis 3:21), to Abel’s acceptable sacrifice (Genesis 4:4), to the Passover lamb (Exodus 12), to the Levitical offerings (Leviticus 1–7), blood pointed forward to the coming Redeemer.

The blood of animals never possessed saving power in itself. Hebrews 10:4 states:

đź“– Hebrews 10:4 (KJ2000)

📌“For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.”

These sacrifices were shadows anticipating the perfect sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

Therefore, when Paul speaks of “His blood,” he is speaking about Christ’s substitutionary sacrificial death in its fullness:

♟️His body given,
♟️His blood shed,
♟️His suffering endured,

and His bearing of divine judgment on behalf of sinners.

The phrase functions as a biblical metonym: the blood represents Christ’s entire atoning sacrifice.

The cross was not merely an example of love or martyrdom. It was a judicial act in which Christ voluntarily stood in the place of sinners.

đź“– Isaiah 53:5 (KJ2000)

📌“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities…”

Therefore, salvation is not grounded in human morality, religious effort, or spiritual discipline. It rests entirely upon the blood of Christ.

🌿 Daily Reflection

Do I truly understand that my salvation required the sacrificial death of the Son of God?

👉 The cross reveals both the seriousness of sin and the greatness of God’s love.

🗣️ Daily Confession

Father, I thank You for the blood of Jesus Christ that was shed for my salvation. Thank You that Christ willingly gave His life so that I could receive forgiveness and eternal life. Keep me from treating the cross lightly. Help me live daily in gratitude, humility, and worship. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏

In Epistle to the Romans 5:9, the word “now” is translated from the Greek adverb nun, a common New Testament word referring to present time or present reality.

In Greek literature and throughout the New Testament, nun can refer:

♟️to the immediate present,
♟️to the present state or condition,
♟️or to a present reality contrasted with the past.

In Romans 5:9, the emphasis is on the believer’s present standing before God.

Paul teaches that believers are now justified. This justification is not merely a future hope but a present reality already accomplished through faith in Jesus Christ.

The word nun highlights the contrast between:

♟️what believers once were (sinners and enemies of God),
♟️and what they now are (justified and reconciled to God through Christ).

The adverb works together with the aorist participle “having been justified” to emphasize that justification took place in the past with continuing results in the present.

Therefore, believers do not wait to become accepted by God in the future. Through faith in Christ, they already stand justified before Him now.

🔍 Doctrinal Clarifications

A few refinements help maintain clarity and balance:

The main importance of nun in Romans 5:9 is theological rather than merely lexical. Paul is emphasizing the believer’s present assurance and standing in grace.

Justification is not progressive. Believers are fully justified the moment they trust in Christ.

The present reality of justification guarantees the future certainty of salvation from wrath.

Paul’s argument is: 👉 because believers are now justified, 👉 they will certainly be saved from God’s wrath through Christ.

🌿 Daily Reflection

Am I living in the confidence of what God says I am now in Christ?

👉 Through faith in Jesus Christ, I am already justified and accepted before God.

🗣️ Daily Confession

Father, I thank You that through faith in Jesus Christ I am now justified before You. I rejoice that I no longer stand condemned, but accepted in Christ. Help me to live daily in the assurance of Your grace and the peace that comes through salvation. My confidence rests in the finished work of Jesus Christ. In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🙏
