REV KAPUNZENI'S SERMON ON MATTHEW 6 VS 33, aiming for clarity, flow, and impact:
Matthew 6:33
"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
Rev. Kapunzeni (Monday, April 7, 2025, Masvingo)
Beloved brothers and sisters in Christ, we gather today under the powerful truth of Matthew chapter six, verse thirty-three: "Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."
This scripture is not merely a suggestion; it is a divine imperative. Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and I declare to you today that all these things – everything you need, everything you desire according to His will – shall be added unto you. Not only to you, but also to those connected to you. But the condition remains: you must seek first.
Finding this Kingdom, however, is not always easy. It is a pursuit that requires diligence and a deep yearning. Think about it: the owner of the Kingdom, our Lord God Himself, is the one who truly knows its depths and where to find its treasures. Our access to it is directly proportional to the hunger within the seeker for the things of God.
Let me assure you, God knows the quality of your effort. He sees the sincerity of your heart as you seek Him. The one who truly hungers for God's Kingdom doesn't need to be reminded or cajoled. No! They are driven by an inner desire, a spiritual thirst that leads them to seek the Word of God at every opportunity.
What then, is this Kingdom of God that we are called to seek first? It is the rulership of God in the heart of the believer. It is the very presence of God dwelling within us. He is not distant; He lives in us, He is with us in the powerful form of the Holy Spirit. Every day, as believers, we move and have our being in the authority of God.
Therefore, I am here today in Masvingo to assure you: you are not alone. As Ephesians 3 verse 20 reminds us, God "is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask
