Day 13/40 of Priesthood
Restored Works
Luke 6:10
“And looking round about upon them all, he said unto the man, Stretch forth thy hand. And he did so: and his hand was restored whole as the other.”
Once upon a time, a man in Israel had a withered hand. He could not do much work for himself because his hand was impaired. He lived on hand outs and assistances from locals. On a given day he went to the Synagogue and there he met a man named Jesus of Nazareth.
This Jesus was going about his normal Sabbath. He saw a withered hand and here was an opportunity to restore a man’s hand whole. In company were the Rulers of the Synagogue, Pharisees and Jesus’s disciples. This day was going to be an ultimate show down. Would he defy the Sabbath laws and restore the man’s hand. As the text reads: Jesus said to the man: “Stretch forth thine hand…” the hand was restored whole as the other hand. The miracle was evident for all to see.
Restoring a withered hand means this man’s ability to work for himself is restored. The fact that someone is not working could only imply that there’s a demonic ministry employed against their potential. It takes the name of Jesus to get work restored. Today, we are praying for restored works.
