THE PARABLE OF THE TEN VIRGINS carries a powerful prophetic message for our generation.
Five were wise and five were foolish. The difference was not that some believed and others did not. They all expected the bridegroom to come. They all had lamps. They all slept. But only five prepared enough oil for the appointed time.
What stands out to me is that at midnight a cry was heard:
"Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!" (Matthew 25:6)
Someone shouted. Someone announced the arrival of the bridegroom. This shows that God does not leave His people without warning. Before major divine events, God raises watchmen, messengers, and voices to alert His people to prepare.
The wise virgins were ready because they paid attention to the announcement and had prepared beforehand. They were not caught by surprise. They entered the wedding because they were known and expected there.
Many say, "No one knows the day or the hour." Yet the parable reveals that there will be a prophetic cry before the bridegroom arrives. The issue is not whether God will warn His people, but whether people will listen when the warning is given.
Throughout Scripture, God has always revealed His plans to His servants before major events. Noah was warned before the flood. Lot was warned before Sodom's destruction. Likewise, God will not leave His Church without a witness in the final hour.
The question is not whether there will be a cry. The question is: Will you have enough oil when the cry is heard?
This is the season to watch, pray, and prepare. The wise are preparing their oil while there is still time.
"Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh." — Matthew 25:13
