ZIMBABWEANS UNITE IN PRAYER FOR PEACE
Thousands of patriotic and peace loving Zimbabweans will gather to pray for Peace in Zimbabwe on the 28th of July, 2012 at the Zimbabwe Grounds in Harare. The Harare Peace Prayer is part of the National Peace Prayer Campaign being organised by the Zimbabwe Pastors Fellowship. The purpose of the National Peace Prayer Campaign is to pray for peace, prosperity and development in Zimbabwe. The Prayer will re-dedicate Zimbabwe and its leadership to God. The Prayer Campaign also seeks to unite people through prayer and to nurture peace in the hearts of people, their families, and communities.
Through the National Peace Prayer Campaign, Peace Prayers have been held in Chitungwiza, Masvingo, Mutare, Gweru and Bulawayo. The Prayers have brought together thousands of Christians from different denominations to dedicate their country to God through Prayer.
The National Peace Prayer Campaign is a non-political process of uniting Zimbabweans through Prayer. The campaign has brought together Zimbabweans from different religions and political parties to unite in Prayer for peace to prevail in Zimbabwe.
The Harare Peace Prayer will feature South African Gospel icon Sipho Makhabane, Blessing Shumba and Fungisayi Zvakavapano – Mashavave. Invited guests at the Peace Prayer include the Vice President, J. L. Nkomo and representatives of political parties in the Government of National Unity. The Prayer will start at 0900 hours.
