OBEDIENCE IS THE KEY
In the beginning, when God created man, He blessed them. Genesis 1:26-28 NKJV. But when man disobeyed God, he became naked Genesis 3:9-11. In this scripture, becoming naked symbolizes loss of innocence, shame and guilt after Adam and Eve's disobedience.
Many today fail to enjoy the beauty of God's creation and blessings that come with it as a result of disobedience to God's word or command. In the book of Deuteronomy 28: 1-2, God promised blessings obedience, it reads "Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God:"
On the contrary, disobedience brings curses. Deuteronomy 28:15 reads “But it shall come to pass, if you do not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you:"
Brethren, be encouraged to be obedient to God's word, and all the blessings he gave at first in Genesis 1:28 will be yours. Our obedience to God's word and/or commands signify our love for Christ (John 14:15). Make it a lifestyle to always obey God's word and put it into practice in our daily lives and our faithful Father will surely bless us! Luke 11:28 NKJV "...blessed are those who hear the word of God and keep it!"
