TITLE : PRAYER SERIES PART 3 -PRAYING EFFECTIVELY
KEY TEXT: JAMES 5:16
The following message is continuation of the teaching I published last week but in this article I want to briefly present on how to pray effectively (James 5:14 says “The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much”). Therefore, there is a way of praying effectively to get divine results.
For our benefit on Sunday I taught mainly from Acts 12 when Peter and James were jailed. Apostle Peter was miraculously saved and escaped from the jail when king Herod was to execute him the following day, James had already been killed a few days before. What saved Peter was the answer to a church that knew how to pray effectively.
“ Peter was therefore kept in prison, but [b]constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church.” Acts 12:5.
Let us examine three important areas from this scripture- 1. Constant prayer or Earnest Prayer – The church prayed earnestly. The greek word for earnest (Ektenos) meaning stretch outwardly at times translated without ceasing. This depicts the soul stretched out in intense earnestness towards God. It is the same word used in Luke 22:44 when Jesus prayed with agony and earnestness and His sweat pouring it out like blood.
2. Prayer offered to God- There are many prayers that are offered but really are they unto God. Are they penetrating to the Throne of Grace. Sometimes we have complained more than praying, we have at times magnified are troubles more than God. We must give God His place as the Almighty God and when we do that there will be no room for doubt, we will see God as He is.
3. Prayer was made by the Church- This is a powerful place- the prayer the Lord delights to answer is united prayer. The Church is a powerhouse with so much potential. You as a believer are also powerful in Christ.
May you see results through your prayers in Jesus’Name. May your prayer life be transformed this year!

TITLE – THE ALTAR MUST BE RESTORED
KEY TEXT: 2 CHRONICLES 33
This message is meant to reignite your love and passion for the Lord. Many have found themselves in a place where the initial fire, the zeal for the Lord has or is gradually going down. You started right, believed God at His Word, attended church and prayers regularly but now slowing down, this is exactly what the enemy wants to see- just to slow you down. What I have also observed is that the more one slows down the likelihood of compromise is high and more open to sin.
What are some of the reasons for this? Troubles and challenges of life that we are failing to handle or manage. Worrying too much wears you down spiritually. Comparing ourselves with one another resulting in a sense of hopelessness. The big one is sin itself, allowing the lust of the flesh to reign on our bodies etc.
Let us take a look at Manasseh:
“Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king, and he reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem. But he did evil in the sight of the Lord” (2 Chronicles 33-1-2)
Because of this evil, it came what I would say the breaking point and then see this: “And the Lord spoke to Manasseh and his people, but they would not listen. Therefore the Lord brought upon them the captains of the army of the king of Assyria, who took Manasseh with hooks, bound him with bronze fetters, and carried him off to Babylon. (2 Chronicles:10-11) He was taken out of his kingship position and in Babylon it was a place of affliction and suffering. Many a times people continue living a life of sin, refusing to change and as such invite all sorts of troubles and suffering upon our lives. I encourage you to shun evil and fear the Lord. Manasseh was only restored after his repentence, thankfully he came to this realisation. “Then Manasseh knew that the Lord was God” (2 Chronicles 33:13)
Stay blessed and do not go back to the good you had started, love Him and serve Him.

Title : Benefits of Speaking in Tongues
Key Text : 1 Cor 14
As a believer there are several reasons for speaking in tongues that can benefit you as a believer. In this short article I will go through just a few as covered in the scriptures.
1. Speaking of Mysteries- The word mysteries relates to divine secrets. The language of tongues allows you to speak secrets to God. The devil cannot understand this language neither can he tap into your communication line with Heaven. This language is a mystery and will bring surprises to your enemies, it causes confusion in the enemy’s camp. I encourage you not to shy away from speaking in tongues. ” For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries” (1 Cor 14:2)
2. Self-edification - He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself (1 Cor14:4). The word for edification in this context refers to building one’s self. Have you been feeling spiritually low then speak in tongues, you will be charging yourself or building yourself up.
3. Supernatural aide in prayer- How many of us at times we have felt prayer being monotonous and very repetitive and has felt so weak in prayer. When you pray in tongues the Spirit helps you to really engage and pray direct prayers which are on point and not amiss.
“ Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered (Romans 8:26)

I encourage you to thank the Lord for this gift and never stop praying in tongues, there are a lot more benefits for you speaking in tongues. If you are not baptised in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues, I encourage you to find a bible believing church and receive this promise which is for you and your children.

GOD TO ANSWER
KEY SCRIPTURE: 2 CHRONICLES 7:14-15
God is sovereign, which means He does what He wants at any time and does not need the approval of man. Have you been in a place where something terrible happens and have been left with an unanswered question to say “Where was God when this happened?” Let me answer you, God answers to prayer, at times we suffer owing to lack of prayer. When God created the earth, He gave man dominion over the earth hence man ought to pray for God’s intervention on earth.
“if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land” (2 Chron 7:14)
I want to encourage someone reading this short article to pray and give the Lord access to your affairs and see what the Lord will do. The secret however is that you have to be the one called by His name. You have to be a child of God for you to be in a place where your prayers are effectively heard by God.

TITLE : GOD IS IN THE BUSINESS OF USING THE SIMPLE
TEXT : 1 Cor 1:27

“ But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty” (I Cor 1:27)
The Lord is an amazing God, He uses the simple and foolish things to confound the wise. People who least expect to be used of God are the ones that the Lord then calls and anoints. Mary the mother of Jesus was not a prominent woman in Israel, she was not among the wealthiest of Israel and yet in her simplicity the Lord sent an angel who said to her “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.” (Luke 1:28). Mary was not the only virgin girl in Israel and yet favour located her simplicity. If a selection committee had to be put together to select which girl was to carry the special Seed, the committee could have gone for a different choice, maybe their selection could have looked at the house of King Herod, maybe their selection could have led them to choose the girl who was the most beautiful in Israel and the girl who could cat walk the most. I am however grateful that God does not operate and think the way man thinks “as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:9) He looks at the heart. “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” (I Sam 16:7).
It humbles me to think that the Lord has called me into ministry and anointed me for His work. I do not consider myself worthy of this, I lacked confidence in my speech, at times I would speak too slow and stammer. I was just an accountant when He called me with no theology, but the Holy Spirit qualified the calling. Today, every Sunday I witness the power of God break yokes, the sick getting healed and the presence of God manifesting Himself as His Glory charge the atmosphere in our services.
I write this message to encourage someone, God is choosing you sir, my sister the Lord is also choosing you too to be His Instrument of worship, to anoint and empower you. You might have been rejected by man but the rejected is being ejected into a place of power and dominion. Pursue the Lord, remain simple hearted and focussed.

TITLE : DISPOSSESSING THE MIDIANITES
KEY TEXT: JUDGES 6:1 -9
Then the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD. So the LORD delivered them into the hand of Midian for seven years, and the hand of Midian prevailed against Israel. Because of the Midianites, the children of Israel made for themselves the dens, the caves, and the strongholds which are in the mountains. So it was, whenever Israel had sown, Midianites would come up (Judges 6:1-3).
From this passage of scripture, we see that the children of Israel had been given over to the Midianites for seven years because of their evil. The Israelites would proceed to plough but at harvest time the Midianites came and invaded the harvest fields and made the Israelites poorer. They were greatly impoverished by the Midianites. They worked hard, but not for themselves but for the Midianites, and this is terrible situation where one works hard but does not realise the proceeds of their labour. They built houses but when the enemy came they went to sleep in the mountains and caves. This kind of situation is terrible and is a curse. Let me come closer to home, has anyone been a place where you conceived but unfortunately you somehow lost the baby that you longed to have and touch. Maybe you were promised a job and at time of getting the contract someone called and told you unfortunately the organisation has decided to take someone else. While another thought they were close to securing a business deal and last minute it did not materialise. This is disappointing and let me tell you, these misfortunes are as a result of the Midianites who have been controlling certain gates in your life i.e Financial gates. John 10:10 “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” They have been stealing from you for too long but Jesus came to give life and in abundance.
As I write I declare that may your situation change from now and may the Midianites be stopped in their tracks in Jesus name. You are to enjoy the fullness of life. The Lord Jesus is the answer to all of life.

Let me end by testifying that we had a glorious service on Sunday, the glory of the Lord manifested in the service. The Lord opened some people’s spiritual eyes and they began to see in the spirit and testified of having seen angels in the service, and some they saw gifts being given to people in the service. There are others who had lost their spiritual gifts and these were restored back by the power of the Holy Spirit. What an awesome time in the presence of God we had.

TITLE : HOW HUNGRY ARE YOU?
KEY TEXT: MATTHEW 17:1-9
Spiritual hunger is key to one’s growth, it is key to deeper revelations with God, it is key to the manifestation of power in your life, this same hunger is key to increased study of the Word of God and it is key to increased and intense prayer life. Without this hunger, it becomes easy to drift into mediocrity and into a state of Luke warmness. I have met some people who have clearly told me that they have stopped going to church for one reason or another and some of these reasons range from offences received and taken and other reasons are I watch on television; my Man of God comes out on television. Let me be honest with you, this is a result of losing that hunger that you once had and it is detrimental to your spiritual life and growth.
The Lord Jesus took Peter, James and John with him for a deeper experience, these three were taken because they had a different attitude and relationship with their Messiah. “Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves; 2 and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light” (Matthew 17:1-2)
If one is hungry for God, it triggers a positive response from the Lord where He longs to take you deeper into the Spirit and show you divine mysteries. It has always been my prayer that I do not lose my hunger towards God. No matter what circumstances I am faced with, I continue to go deeper in my pursuit of God. Trials and challenges will come by I have told myself that these should not pollute my relationship with Christ. The Apostle Paul said the following “Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” (Phillipians 3:13-14).
If you have lost that place where you used to hunger and seek God, that place of worship and touching the face of God, I pray that may that hunger be restored back into your life.
I have attached some beautiful pics from this past Sunday service, the power of God was present to touch and change people’s lives. Some were healed and delivered in a mighty way. One lady had a spiritual husband that was planted in her life since she was a child and had affected all her past relationships, the unclean spirit shouted “ Ever since she started coming to this ministry I am now failing to touch her!” Another elderly woman, originally from Malawi, unclean spirits were also exposed as they tried to send bees to attack but by the power of the Holy Ghost they failed, these spirits also shouted in an unfamiliar language which was Malawian “ You are burning us! we are now leaving her!” . We give glory to our Lord Jesus Christ for His Power which is made manifest every Sunday.

TITLE : DIMENSIONS OF THE SPIRITUAL REALM
KEY TEXT: JOB 38:33 & JOHN 4 :21-24

“Do you know the laws of the heavens?” (Job 38:33). The spiritual realm is real and does exist. This realm of the spirit has its own laws that are different from the laws of the natural world. There are some people who are unfortunately wicked and exploit this realm negatively in witchcraft practises. The Lord asked Job “Do you know the laws of the heavens?” (Job 38:33). This realm response so much to decrees and declarations. The laws of faith operate in this realm, the laws of sowing and reaping operate in this realm.
I once prayed for a young man who shared a touching story. The young man was a mechanic and received an offer of a job somewhere outside the country, so he travelled by bus from Harare crossed Beitbridge Border and all this time he had his passport. When he got to Oliver Tambo International Airport he discovered his passport was missing. Unfortunately, he could not proceed further since he had lost his passport. He had to travel back home. When he got back home he said “Man of God I found my passport on the coffee table in our house” He tried to ask an elderly person at the house how the passport got home, but the person cautioned him to be quiet and forget about this issue. I am just sharing this story to bring to your awareness the realities of these things. In ministry I have encountered a lot of similar cases but one thing that I know and understand is that Jesus is all powerful and supreme- The Word of God says
” and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.” (Ephesians 1:19-21). In the realm of the Spirit, we must understand that that our Lord Jesus has all Power and He reigns and everything is subject to His Name. Principalities and rulers tremble when they hear of this Great and Mighty Name. If you are a believer, I urge to live in dominion and take your God given place of authority and power. Decree and declare! And watch difficult circumstances change. If you are not a believer, you are unfortunately at the mercy of those that are in witchcraft and etc. You however, have an opportunity to change and this change comes when you accept Jesus as your Lord and saviour.
