Abundant Life Devotion November 2021.

Title - Marriage.

Genesis 2:24 (KJV) Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

A couple can only become one flesh when the husband leaves his mother & father & cleave to his wife. Marriage is for people who are prepared to leave their parents. If there was no problem for man to stay with his father & mother after marriage, God would not have commanded him to leave. It is an error for married couple to co-habitate with their parents at their parent's home. God the creator himself knows the dangers of having the daughter in- law & the mother in-law under one roof. Advice to every husband, if you want your parents to fully appreciate your wife & your wife to fully respect your parents, move away from your parents' home unless they are living in your house. A lot of marriages have collapsed because of this very thing. Accomodating yourselves at your family house after marriage will swallow your spouse's voice & freedom. It is like sentencing your wife to life imprisonment. My advice to bachelors, don't marry or impregnate a woman if you are not yet ready to leave your parents.

Title Marriage

*John 2:1-2 (KJV) And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:*
*And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage.*

Marriage is a devine institution, God created all creatures male & female. *The first blessing was pronounced to a couple (gen 1:28) & the first miracle of Jesus was at a wedding in Cana ( John 2:11) there is something about God when it comes to marriage.* Living joyfully as couples attracts God's presence & blessings in your home. As couples you need to understand the importance of God's presence in your union. *Adam & Eve lost the presence of God & as a result they lost the garden, the provisions of God & they ended up giving birth to a murderer (Cain).* Your marriage is safe & secure in the presence of God. *Train each other to put God first in whatever you do as a couple, that can protect you from making costly mistakes.* The holy bible is your manual for marriage, it is the only book where you can find the solutions to all your problems in life.

Title Marriage

All married couples wear their wedding rings on the left hand finger. *The left hand is the majority's weaker side meaning by putting a ring on your spouse's left finger you are marrying him/ her because of her weakness than her strength.* Her weakness is the reason you married each other to perfect one another. *Her weakness must draw you closer than her strength. His weakness must never push you away from him but draw you closer to him.* Each time you see a ring on your left finger just remember your assignment, you are your spouse's pillar of suppport or strength in time of need. If your spouse was strong or perfect there was no need for him/ her to marry you. *The ring on your left hand simply means your spouse is not perfect he/ she makes mistakes so be ready to forgive each other.*

Title - Marriage.

*John 2:1 (KJV) And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there:*

Many people prepare for the wedding and forget to prepare for marriage. Wedding is an event but marriage is a lifetime. *Wedding is _artificial_ but marriage is _official_.* On your wedding day you hire caterers to cook, serve, wash the dishes for you & your guests, you have ushers & hospitality team who receive your guests on your behalf but in marriage you are the caterer & the usher, you receive your guests & serve them by yourself. *On a wedding relatives & friends can come together to make your day special & memorable but in marriage it's only the two of you who must put things together for your lives to be better.* People can be there for you just for the wedding & never be there for you in your marriage. At a wedding everyone is your best friend, brother, auntie, mother or father inlaw, but that's not the same in marriage. *Marriage will teach you lessons you can never learn on your wedding day* . On a wedding the master of ceremony can give access to everyone eg witches, singles, harlots, enemies & friends to give a speech, advice or bless your union but in marriage you cannot take advice from everyone & expect a happy home. *There are people who are useful for a wedding but useless in your marriage (fact).*

Title - Marriage.

*Hebrews 13:4 (KJV) Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.*

Marriage is not about wearing matching outfits but having matching minds & heart. *If you cannot hold hands in private there is no need to hold hands in public, if you cannot smile, laugh or praise each other in private, it is meaningless to do it in public.* Love is not an act but a lifestyle. Your love must not be regulated by occasions, keep each other's smile & hold each other's hand even in private. *Work on building a happy home, not just to give an expression of love in public yet deep down your home is torn apart.* A happy home is a happy life. *Most wives / husbands are shocked how their spouses can be so loving & caring in public than at home.*

Title - Marriage

*Hebrews 13:4 (KJV) Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.*

For every husband a happy wife is a happy life & the reverse is true. *The goal for marriage is for couples to live a happy & peaceful life.* Marriage was the first institution God established before all other things. *Marriage is a God idea not just a good idea.* There is no one who matters to your life like your spouse. *With all your relatives you are related by blood but your spouse is one flesh with you.* If you hurt your wife, you are hurting your own flesh. *The only key for couples to live long is to live happily together .* Life becomes easy & marriage is sweet when spouses are best friends & you hide no secret from each other. *Make your wife your best friend & share with her your secrets you will never regret it anyday.*

Victory also means achievement(simply denotes victory), triumph, success, overthrow.

if you breath everyday you need to win everyday and it is a kingdom which guarantees you victory. warfare is the gapway into success.

Title - Mentorship

*Proverbs 1:5 (KJV) A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:*

A mentor is someone who have gone through thick & thin & never quitted. The highway to greatness is always under construction & there are many barriers & detours on the way. *Lack of mentorship has caused many people to abort their dreams, a lot have quit pursuing their goals prematurely due to lack of adquate knowledge & encouragement from those who have walked the path before.* A mentor is someone who invigorate you to pursue your dreams inspite of the challenges & circumstances because they have gone through everything but they did not quit. *A mentor comes to give you hope & impart in you a winning mentality, winners never quit but they face it all.*

If you are mentorless you are likely to be fruitless in your career. *Mentorship is the gateway into leadership.* You cannot lead without having been led by someone. *A mentee is someone who is always ready to learn new leadership skills from his mentor.* If you learn more you earn more. Mentorship is the shortcut into success. *Each time when God want to make things easier in someone's life he sends a mentor.* If you honor your mentor you shall also be honored in your life. A mentee must graduate to become a mentor one day.

Title - Mentorship

A mentor is someone you learn from their experience & wisdom. Without a mentor you will never reach your fullest potential. *When God wants to bring the best out of your life he sends a man & all you need is to pay extra attention to what he says.* Your closeness with your mentor determines how quick you progress. *If you dont have any man you are following you are not worthy to have anyone following you.* The purpose of mentorship is for the mentee to dig for secrets & principles that have made his mentor to obtain what he/she is pursuing or desiring to obtain too.
