Looking back in time to present moment
A day that is underseen, underrated to say the least
Time to change that scene exposing the truth
For a house without a father is a home of indiscipline
You keep a belief in that household
When everything seems down you have a way of lifting things up
We see the sacrifices, sleepless nights
Late night drives like there's no tomorrow
Midnight walks home from the grind
The last one to upgrade their device
Putting the family first, despite you
Checking within your drawer, we might see small hole on your socks
Checking your children's wardrobe, no outfit is torn
A house is just a building that people live in
But home is where you are with us
If I was to check the earnings from work and what you provide
It doesn't add up, your push can even make the walls move
In these times
Where fathers are fathers of many young ones
You chose no to walk in those shoes
To be honest, you are the reason why your children never quit
For they know someone who doesn't do that
They believe in true love because you exist
For the care you give them, given the chance they would wish to sing it like a national anthem
Even on your worst day, look at where you came
For those runs you make, the errins you take and risks made
Just for the children and madam
Be celebrated, for there is beauty in the struggle

Today we gathered for a powerful Leadership Training as Methodist Church in Zimbabwe Ebenezer Society, a day dedicated to equipping leaders for effective service, unity, and kingdom impact.
Key sessions included The Five Pillars: Aligning our Organisations to the MCZ Strategic Plan, helping leaders understand how to work in alignment with the broader vision and mission of the church. We were also deeply reminded of Biblical Leadership Servant First, Leader Second, reflecting the example of Jesus Christ who leads through humility, love, and service.
The day further focused on Team Building, strengthening unity and collaboration within our leadership structures, and The Importance of Communication in Leadership, highlighting clarity, listening, and effective engagement as essential leadership tools.
We also participated in Breakaway Workshops by Cluster, creating space for focused discussion, reflection, and practical application within our different organisations.
It was a transformative day of learning, reflection, and renewal as we continue building leaders who are aligned, effective, and rooted in Christ-centered leadership.
