THE WORD IN 60 SECONDS

with Major Kudzai Marime

GOD IS WITH US

One of God's greatest promises is this: "Do not be afraid, for I am with you." In seasons that give rise to fear, uncertainty and anxiety, it is easy to feel alone and overwhelmed.

The Israelites experienced this when Goliath intimidated them for forty days.

Fear silenced them until David arrived with unwavering faith in God's presence and power.

As we journey through difficult and unpleasant seasons, let us pray that God awakens the spirit of David within us—a faith that trusts His promises above our circumstances.

We are not alone. The Lord is with us, strengthening and supporting us with His righteous right hand.

Today, let us connect in prayer and stand firm in the assurance that God is with us.

Scripture Focus: Isaiah 41:10 — "Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God."

By Sydney Barson

The Territory has once again been plunged into mourning following the promotion to glory of SAOCA Blessing Chirandu.

In an announcement bulletin issued on 1 June 2026, the Secretary for Personnel Administration, Lieutenant Colonel Maclean Chinyerere, conveyed the news on behalf of the Territorial Commander, Commissioner Daniel Kasuso.

Blessing Chirandu was the son of retired Majors Bernard and Sphiwe Chirandu, who are living in retirement in the United Kingdom and Ireland Territory.

According to the bulletin, family members and mourners have gathered at house number 8328, Tafara, Harare, while preparations are underway to move to the family's rural home in Shamva.

Funeral arrangements are still being finalised and will be communicated in due course.

Meanwhile, Territorial Commander Commissioner Daniel Kasuso has called upon Salvationists and friends across the territory to uphold the Chirandu family in prayer and support during this time of bereavement.
