Dear returned missionaries of the Zimbabwe Harare Mission,
As Sister Judd and I are finishing our mission, you have been on our minds. We love you.
We are feeling all of the things that you may have felt as you were saying good-bye to Zimbabwe and preparing for what might come next. There are many things we are unsure about and we are striving to practice what we often invited you to do, to ‘be where our feet are’ and trust Heavenly Father’s plan for us and simply take the next step in faith. And that step is always on the path of covenant confidence.
We hope this letter finds you with your feet firmly planted on the covenant path. We pray you are happy, safe, progressing, and serving in the kingdom. If, as you read this, you feel lost or discouraged, we love you. And we echo this beautiful reminder from President Jeffrey R. Holland,
“However late you think you are, however many chances you think you have missed, however many mistakes you feel you have made or talents you think you don’t have, or however far from home and family and God you feel you have traveled, I testify that you have not traveled beyond the reach of divine love. It is not possible for you to sink lower than the infinite light of Christ’s Atonement shines.”
Here are photos of the temple site taken just yesterday. It is still a work in progress and so are each of us. The Doctrine of Christ is the remedy in every circumstance.
We love you and we believe in you. We know what you know. We add our witness to yours: of the truthfulness of The Book of Mormon, the reality the restoration of the Savior’s church upon the earth, and of Heavenly Father’s never ending, always reaching love for you. We bear witness of the reality of the matchless gift of His Divine Son, who we is the Living Christ, the High Priest of Good Things too come. We love you.
Hurrah for Israel!
President and Sister Judd
