Day 6
Lev 5, 1 Cor 5, psa 84 and Pro 5
1 Corinthians 5:7-8 (KJV)
7 Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: 8 Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
Proverbs 5:22 (KJV)
22 His own iniquities shall take the wicked himself,
and he shall be holden with the cords of his sins.
Most of us sometimes assume to be very wise but are often proven insufficient. Some of us follow unlawful pleasures and tell themselves it was just onetime and they can give up when they want. This they don't realize that sin repeated becomes customary and custom becomes habit and habit becomes part of character and becomes a necessity. It is at this point that the person in habitual sin becomes bound by the cords of habitual sin and so is led captive by the devil by their own submission.
Easter is supposed to bring us into remembrance of the sacrifice of Jesus and its products amongst man. After being cleansed by the Lord Jesus we are to lead a sincere life lead by the truth of the word.
We must put our faith in the hope that is His word. He who has begun a good work in us will see it unto completion. You have the power and strength within you to overcome habitual sin. Have blessed day.
