Yesterday, we successfully hosted an Interfaith seminar as part of the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence. Our primary objective was to unite people of faith in addressing this critical issue.

We were honored to have Mrs. Almassri, the spouse of the Ambassador of the Embassy of the State of Palestine, join us to share her insights on the situation in Palestine and ways we can act in solidarity with them.

We introduced the Red Chair campaign. We were pleased to implement this initiative during our seminar, highlighting the importance of addressing gender-based violence.

Through this event, we reaffirmed our commitment to promoting interfaith dialogue and collaboration in addressing GBV. We look forward to continuing our efforts towards creating a safer, more just world for all.

The Red Chair Campaign is a symbolic awareness campaign that aims to highlight the issue of gender-based violence (GBV) and to honor survivors and victims.

The Empty Red Chair: Represents a life impacted by GBV, symbolizing the absence of a person who has been affected by violence.
Red Color: Signifies the blood, pain, and suffering of GBV survivors and victims.
Chair: Represents a seat that is empty due to GBV, emphasizing the devastating impact of violence on individuals, families, and communities.

Fatima Zahra Women's Organisation stands in solidarity with survivors of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) and demands an end to this injustice.

To the brave women, girls, and marginalized individuals who have suffered in silence, we see you, we hear you, and we believe you. Your stories, your struggles, and your resilience inspire us to continue fighting for a world where everyone can live free from fear, violence, and oppression.

GBV is not just a women's issue; it's a human rights issue that affects us all. It's time for us to unite, to break the silence, and to demand accountability for perpetrators.

During these 16 Days of Activism, we recommit ourselves to:

Listening to and amplifying the voices of survivors
Supporting and empowering marginalized communities
Advocating for policies and laws that protect and promote human rights
Educating and raising awareness about GBV and its impact

Let us join hands, hearts, and voices to create a world where everyone can thrive, free from violence and fear.
