HOW DO YOU SEE “YOU”?
"But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvellous light" (1 Peter 2:9).
What matters in life is not how people see you but how you see yourself. 1 Peter 2:9 tells you how God sees you. The question now is: How do you see yourself? God says you’re an overcomer, more than a conqueror, a victor, anointed for good works, His workmanship, an ambassador, a package of power.... Remind yourself of who you are everyday until you become so very conscious of yourself and are consumed by your real nature.
Forget about sin; it has no power over you because the seed of God dwells in you. 1 John 3:9 asssures us that “Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for His seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin because he is born of God.” God has made His abode in you and now you’re incapable of practising sin, as bitter water and sweet water can’t come out of the same fountain. It’s not your nature to sin. However, if you commit sin, He is faithful and just to forgive you and cleanse your soul from unrighteousness.
Take your mind away from fear. It’s not in your nature to fear, for God has not given you the spirit of fear, but one of power, love, and a sound mind. You don’t need to worry or be afraid for your future—His thoughts toward you are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope (Jer. 29:11 NKJV). You don’t need to be afraid at night— a thousand shall fall at your side and ten thousand at your right hand but it shall not come near you (Ps. 91:7). You don’t need to bother about your needs— the Lord is your Shepherd, you shall not want (Ps. 23:1). You don’t need to worry about your supplies—all things are yours (1 Corinthians 3:21) and My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). God has handled everything that concerns you to perfection; glory to His Name forever!
