Melchizedek is still receiving Tithe
“Although the Jewish priests (Levitical Priesthood) received tithes, they all died—they were mortal. But Melchizedek lives on! –”
Hebrews 7:8 TPT
February 2017 I was caught up into a trance (spiritual vision) and I was told that Tithe is actually of the New Testament but was borrowed in the Old Testament by Moses.
I immediately threw fits of rejection to what seemed an absurd theology, and the Lord sweetly said, I will give you three (3) scriptural reasons for that;
1) Who is the founder of the New Testament?
- Abraham is the founder - It’s the promise, the deal, the agreement, the covenant, the testament that God did with Abraham that brought Jesus Christ into the world. Galatians 3:16-18
2) Who is the first Tither?
- Abraham is the first Tither
- As the Lord was giving me these scriptural reasons why Tithe is of the New Testament, the shock began to easy because it started making sense and it would still make sense to anyone who is honest to God and to themselves about the scriptures and pursuit of the truth. Abraham the founder of the New Testament is the first Tither recorded. Genesis 14:18-20
3) To which priesthood did Abraham tithe?
- This third and last scriptural reason for why Tithing is of the New Testament was the jaw dropping joker and seal to this doctrinal exposition.
- As recorded in Genesis 14:18-20 Abraham The founder of the New Testament, The first Tither gave it to Melchizedek the Priest of God.
- Hebrews 7 in it’s entirety is dedicated to let us know that Jesus Christ our Lord, the High Priest of the New Testament is a priest in the order of Melchizedek, in fact He’s Melchizedek Himself if you look closely.
- Therefore The Founder of the New Testament, is The first Tither and he Tithed to the Priesthood of the New Testament.
The Lord concluded by reiteration, “Tithing is of the New Testament, borrowed by Moses in the Old Testament” and the vision ended and left me in another world altogether.
I don’t know about you but I myself Privilege Nyamukondiwa would not deny what was clearly told me by the Lord Himself, the Boss Himself, the Truth Himself. I did not deduce this teaching by mere study of the scriptures, I was taken into a spiritual vision unexpectedly and shown this Truth.
I implore you Child of God, I implore you the reader, to think soberly and look for the witness of the Spirit of Truth and objectively look into the scriptures as you judge my submissions on this needlessly contentious subject.
