Your Appointment With Sacrifice - Romans 12:1; Hebrews 13:15
a. To sacrifice means to offer up your material possessions to God for worship
b. To sacrifice means you will surrender something prized or desirable for the sake of something higher.
c. To sacrifice is to permit injury or disadvantage for the sake of something else
d. To sacrifice is to dispose of your foods regardless of the fact that you make no profit.
Sacrifice releases power: - it makes people follow your cause.
- You are able to convince people
- it also makes people comit to you. - Phillipians 3:7-8

Goodmorning blessed people. I hope you are receiving enlightenment so far. Today we look at:
You appointment with suffering - Phillipians 1:29-30
a. Suffering means you will be subject to pain, distress, loss, injury or something unpleasant.
b. Suffering means you will experience adversity, affliction, hardship and misery in your life.
c. Suffering means you will go through misfortune, discomfort. and difficulty.
d. Suffering means you will be tormented, be tortured and experience adversity.
God will allow suffering because
1. it pleases Him - Isaiah 53:10
2. it makes you perfect - Hebrews 2:10
3. it makes you obedient - Hebrews 5:8
4. it will bring you closer to Christ - Phillipians 3:10
5. glory will follow - I Peter 1:11
6. You play a part in the completion of Christ's sufferings - Colossians 1:24
7. it makes you humble. - Deut. 8:2

In yesterday's post we learnt from His words that Jesus will not lower his standards for anyone. Today we are looking at:
Your Appointment with "Loosing"
Matthew 16:25; Phillipians 3:7-8 reveals to us that
a. Loss means you will come to be without certain things. There may be little or no prospect of recovering the things you will lose
b. Loss means you will suffer the deprivation of certain things.
c. Loss means you will be unable to keep or maintain certain things in your life
d. Loss means you will give up and forfeit the possession of certain things.
"Lo we have LEFT ALL, and have followed thee." - Mark 10:28. What are these things?
- Your money(investing in ministry)
-Your comforts(you stop fussing about things on earth) Colossians 3:2
- Your family(time and pleasure with your family becomes less)
- Your safety and security(you give up well paying jobs to do ministry which usually doesn't pay as much. or you on dangerous missions like to Colombia)
The way to greatness in the Kingdom of involves losing. Jesus wants you to follow Him today. What is the hinderance. Be honest...

Hello everyone. Its good to be back. We are looking at the book LOOSING SUFFERING SACRIFICING AND DYING by a renowned author, evangelist, teacher and pastor, Bishop Dag Heward Mills. Jesus says:
1. "If you come to me you must hate your parents, your family and yourself." - Luke 14:26
2. "You must sell whatever you have if you want to follow me."- Matthew 19:21
3. "If you follow me you all not have anywhere to stay because I don't even have the home that foxes and birds have."- Luke 9:58
4. "You cannot say goodbye to your family if you really want to follow me."- Luke 9:61
5. "You cannot be involved in the burial of your father if You really want to be my disciple."- Luke 9:59
These are hard sayings. What did our Lord mean?....

When Kings pray and fast

Without prayer and fasting… our faith cannot function. Some miracles will never happen without prayer and fasting. Some circumstances will never change without prayer and fasting. Prayer and fasting will sharpen your expectancy so that when you ask you expect to receive. The promises of God are conditional upon our living the life He has ordained for us. God delights to feed His children – Psalms 37:25. This does not mean that we can do nothing and still receive everything, which many have been teaching. Many people have exercised their faith for big cars, big houses, and big bank accounts, yet their souls are leaner today than they were 10 years ago. They may be living large but they don’t have the power of God in their lives. God wants to teach you the balanced word and to make your faith effective. And this can only happen when you bolster your faith through prayer and fasting.

Why was God not answering His people and honoring their sacrifices? In many ways the church today can be compared to the people of Isaiah's time. We too, seek after God's leading, wanting to know His will for our lives. Many nations were supposedly founded. upon godly principles, and despite the infiltration of immortality and debauchery into the very heart of our modern culture, a majority of people are still very religious - or at least they think they are.
The problem causing God not to notice is plain in Isaiah 58:3-5. People even to this day, do as they please. They are pleasure seekers. A greater chunk of income earned is now spent on things that bring us pleasure. nothing is more important for many of us. And because of this, fasting does not for into our schedule. There is no time for it. This attitude prevents many from seeing answers to their prayers.

When Kings Pray And Fast...

In these final days, people have allowed themselves to become distracted by the daily challenges of life. But we all face challenges, no matter what our roles in society, and we shouldn't allow them to stop is from marching into what God has for us. It is during difficult times that opportunity arises to unite people with one another and with God. When faced with situations concerning The welfare. of their people, many great kings and leaders throughout history have galvanized their people to come together to seek The face of God for direction.The world tells us that we have been raised into into royal positions of kings and priests in heavenly places with Jesus Christ. That authorizes us- indeed, compels us - to carry out His comands upon this earth!

I am convinced that one of the reasons today's church is so frequently powerless is that it has lost sight of the godly custom of prayer and fasting. It has succumbed to the sins of gluttony, selfishness and pride. Yet now more than ever, the church needs to be its strongest as the enemy rails against us in theses final days. The scripture in Matthew 17:14-16,18 reveals over and over that prayer and fasting is central key to our strength and deliverance. When Jesus drove out the demon that had so vexed the disciples, they turned to Him with a very logical question: "Why couldn't we do that? Why couldn't we heal the boy? What's your secret. As always, Jesus' response cut to the chase, "This kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.(verse 21)

Four main challenges of the Body
1. Sexual desire. Sexual perversion includes such things as adultery, fornication, so**my and be******ty. You must strive to keep your body morally clean. Suggestions for right living include keeping the marriage bed undefiled, read the right books, magazines and newspapers, watch the right movies and keep friends who will help you live a holy life
2. Food. The sin of Adam and Eve featured the fruit of a tree – they ate the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Satan tried to tempt Jesus to turn stone into bread… Some foods such as alcohol and foods offered to idols can be sinful. Others are hazardous to health…
3. Leisure. The need for rest and leisure makes us vulnerable to the enemy. This legitimate need can lead to laziness and idleness. Laziness leads to poverty. Idleness can make you sin because the devil finds work for idle hands. When King David stayed at home at a time when kings went to war and he spotted Bathsheba -2 Samuel 11:1-5
4. Decoration and clothing. It is godly to look good and feel great. The devil can however, make us so obsessed about looking good that we may compromise all standards of godliness. What we do to our bodies is very important.

Three things you ought to know about your body are
1. Your body is a temple of God and He cannot dwell in a temple that is unclean. If we consider the fact that magnificence and glory were attributed to Moses’ tabernacle and Solomon’s temple, we must keep our bodies in the best shape possible. – Job 32:8
2. Your body is the house of your spirit. Your spirit lives in your body. If your spirit is holy, your body must likewise be holy. A pure spirit detests an unclean body. The spirit man worships God through the human body.
3. Your body is the instrument of God for work. It is your body that lays hands on people not the spirit. You cannot therefore use your hands that have been dedicated to minister to people for their healing and deliverance, for deeds of unrighteousness. – Romans 6:13

Why consecration?
Firstly, God has shown great mercy towards us and it only reasonable that we reciprocate His love for us. The love of God for us is so great that, He did not spare His own son but made him die on the cross for us. Because of the love of God, even if you do not know about the dangers of walking in sin, you should consider.
Secondly, there is so much evil in the world that you have to be holy. Evil is thriving on sin. The more people sin, the more they give evil the chance to devastate their lives. Do not blow up your potential by embracing ungodliness.
Thirdly, the church is at the brink of a breakthrough and you cannot choose to live an ungodly life. Your ungodliness can prevent the body of Christ from realizing this breakthrough
And finally, the spirit of man and his soul are not perishable on earth though they can be corrupted through sin and demonic infestation. The body of man is however perishable. As a result of the fragile nature of our bodies, they must be guarded with diligence. It is very frustrating when the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak through sickness, sin or exhaustion.

The apostle Paul said that great is the mystery of godliness because God was manifested in the flesh. – 1 Timothy 3:16. The human body though taken from the dust of the earth is an integral part of our spiritual lives. To treat the body differently from our spirits is injurious to triumphant spiritual living. The body is a mystery. It is physical and yet cooperates with our spirits to glorify God. God commands us to glorify Him in our bodies. The human body is the temple of God and so it must be kept in the purest state. Until you master your body, you cannot please God. If you fail in the body, you have failed the test. Total consecration must prevail in our bodies. – 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
