Your Promised Land Now (John 10:10):

If Joshua had given the people the rest that God had promised, God would not have spoken later about another day. As it is, however, *there still remains for God's people a rest* like God's resting on the seventh day.
*Hebrews 4:7‭-‬9 GNB*

Please understand that the word REST in this context means Peace & Prosperity.

Joshua, the son of Nun, took the children of Israel into the Promised Land but they never had rest - meaning they had no peace that's why they ended up in captivity. All the experiences that took place then were types and shadows of the REAL that was to come.

King James version calls Joshua by the name, Jesus because that's what the name means. *The real Joshua for us as Christians is Jesus Christ of Nazareth.* The former Joshua could not give them rest because he didn't have it. Our own Joshua (Jesus Christ) is seated (RESTED) at the right of the Father on the throne in heaven.

*Ephesians 2:6AMPC says:*
_And He raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together [giving us joint seating with Him] in the heavenly sphere [by virtue of our being] in Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One)._

Our REST of peace and prosperity is still ahead of us (Heb.4:7). We are the generation that will actually (PHYSICALLY) enter into our Promised Lands. The Lord told me this recently so you got to believe this.

Some will say that our Promised Land is just in the realm of the spirit and that we will only achieve peace when we die and go to heaven - Not True.

*God is faithful He wouldn't just create humans to put them on earth so they can suffer and one day make it to heaven and find rest there.*

So please stir up your faith this year and prepare to see good things come your way as you enter into your own Promised Land and receive your inheritance and live a life of peace and prosperity.

PRAYER EXPLAINED:

*How to start your prayer:*

Jesus said to them, “ *When you pray, say this: ‘Father:* May your holy name be honoured; may your Kingdom come - Luke 11:2 GNB.

Akati kwavari: Kana muchinyengetera, muti: *Baba, vedu vari kudenga* zita renyu ngariitwe dzvene; vushe bwenyu ngabwuvuye; kuda kwenyu ngakuitwe panyika sezvakunoitwa kudenga - Luke 11:2 Shona.

Your prayer must be addressed to the Father only ...in the Name of Jesus

*EXAMPLE:*

*Father in of Jesus I pray...*
Then thank Him... For your life, job, wife, children etc
Then ask for what you want

*Right way to pray:*

When that time comes, you won't have to ask me about anything. I tell you for certain the Father will give you whatever you ask for in my name. You have not asked for anything in this way before, but now you must *ask in my name.* Then it will be given to you, so you will be completely happy - John 16:23‭-‬24 CEV.

The right way to pray is in the Name of Jesus because only He is the channel to the Father (John 14:6)

The word ASK in John 16:23-24 means praying. In this case praying to a higher authority or power.

*Does Jesus pray on our behalf?:*

Then you will ask in my name. I’m not saying I will ask the Father on your behalf, for the Father himself loves you dearly because you love me and believe that I came from God- John 16:26‭-‬27 NLT.

No. Jesus does not pray to the Father on our behalf but He intercedes for us.

*As Christians is Jesus our mediator?:*

Let us have confidence, then, and approach God's throne, where there is grace. There we will receive mercy and find grace to help us just when we need it - Heb 4:16 GNB.

No. He is the mediator between God and man (human beings in general) - 1 Timothy 2:5... But once you receive as Lord and Savior you go direct to the Father by yourself as a son like Him in the house of the same Father.

*The word of the Lord:*

At about 8am this morning I heard the Lord say to me: *death reigning? No - death has been defeated.*

*Message:*

According to Romans 5:14-16 death *(a ruling spirit called spirit of death)* ruled over the human race from Adam until Moses but it was Jesus who defeated this ruling spirit of death.

Satan would kill people at will without resistance. You didn't have to sin to die - the dominion of Satan, of this ruling spirit of death killed people anyway.

*Now,* death is not reigning anymore - people today die prematurely because of their own sins. Instead of Satan and this demon of death it is Jesus the King of the Universe now reigning (ruling).

But from the time of Adam to the time of Moses death ruled over the whole human race, even over those who did not sin in the same way that Adam did when he disobeyed God's command. Adam was a figure of the one who was to come. And there is a difference between God's gift and the sin of one man. After the one sin, came the judgement of “Guilty”; but after so many sins, comes the undeserved gift of “Not guilty!”

God Wants To Be Your Father
[Jeremiah 31:9]

God wants to be your Father because when you're sinning you can't call Him Father even if He still remains your Father through His Holy Spirit in you. If your spirit is in constant fellowship with the devil through sin then at that point you can't call God 'Father' but can still call Him 'My God' as a plea for mercy not prayer - your own conscience allows you or forbids you to mention the word 'Father' in prayer (1 John 3:20-21).

You can only call God 'Father' by your spirit and not your flesh (Romans 8:15, Galatians 4:6). He is Father of spirits. The day you got born again is the day God adopted you from your natural father to become His child.

Sin separates you from the Father that's why Jesus on the cross having drunk the cup of sin couldn't call God Father but would shout, "My God, my God why have you foresaken me?". Jesus was abandoned and foresaken by His Father, on our behalf, because He was now having the body of sin since sin was condemned in his flesh (Romans 8:4).

As long as you stay clean God will not abandon you because Jesus was abdandoned on your behalf. This sin I'm talking about is not like: you commit an act of sin four times this week and He abandones you. No. It is when you make sinning your lifestyle - when you're refusing to repent that's when He will forsake you until you change.

Grace only works for you when you return from your sinful actions back to him and approach His throne of mercy and grace (Hebrews 4:16). That way the blood of Jesus will cleanse you from all unrighteousness and you will be restored to fellowship (1 John 1:6-9).

*Be Careful With Your Words:*

*Know this:* The earth is a words planet meaning every word spoken has a fruit.

Your words can put you in jail or can set you free. Your words can bring a curse upon you or can bless you. Your words can pull you down or build you up. Your words can kill you or give you life.

Refuse to be trapped by your own words and regret it later because it might be too late to repent as what happened with Esau when he sold his birthright because of a plate of food BUT it was the words he spoke to Jacob that brought him down and couldn't reverse them.

_Have you been caught by your own words, trapped by your own promises?_

*Remember this:* every good and operative word you speak is acted upon by the Holy Spirit of God BUT every idle (inoperative / useless) or bad word you speak will be acted upon by the evil spirit of the devil and will come to pass in your life. *Mark 11:23 says, "...you shall have what you say".*

A good word you speak is a seed planted BUT a bad word you speak is a w**d planted in your life.

Words are so powerful such that they created heaven and earth. When God spoke things happened. He said let there be light and there was light. Similarly instead of speaking foolish words that will hurt you in the future you can also speak constructive and life giving words over your life - prophesy good things over your life.

_Words satisfy the mind as much as fruit does the stomach; good talk is as gratifying as a good harvest. Words kill, words give life; they’re either poison or fruit—you choose._
*Proverbs 18:20‭-‬21 MSG*

One foolish word in one second can nullify one hour worth of prayers.

Lastly never say words just to please someone or so you can fit into a group or even jokingly it's all dangerous.
