How we wish everyday was a Sunday. We gathered again today as a family by God's grace. Sweet sweet time of worshipping the King of Kings. We were reminded of the noble qualifications of an overseer from 1Timothy 3:1-7. The bar is raised in the Scriptures and who is sufficient for This?

We thank God for the gospel. Because of the finished work of the cross, we can look up to Jesus and those who were not even worthy to clean toilets in heaven, those not worthy of the lowliest task can actually be called to minister in God's vineyard. He empowers those He calls and may God raise godly men in our church who can aspire for this noble task so that the church of God can be what God intends it to be especially in this area of who leads it.
Soli Deo Gloria

We gathered again this past Lord's Day to worship King Jesus. We were faithfully led in some beautiful singing and prayers and petitions were raised to our forever loving Father.

We were then taught from God's Word that a biblical model o church leadership is necessary for the church to display the glory of Christ in its worship and in its witness. The Bible identifies 2 primary leadership roles in the church: Elders who are servant leaders and deacons who are leading servants.

We looked at elders and their responsibilities from Acts 20: They are to lead under the authority of Christ, they are to care for the body of Christ by protecting, nurturing and feeding the flock of Christ. They must teach the Word of Christ. Their work is tied to the Word.

Lord willing this coming Lord's day we will look at their qualifications from 1Timothy 3:1-8. May it please the Lord to appoint such men to lead His church.

I know of some believers who have been encouraged greatly by church leadership in their local churches and I know of some believers who have been hurt in their spiritual journey by leadership as well.

This is why looking at church leadership in Scripture, particularly in our own day, is extremely crucial. The church today has fallen dismally because she has become casual in this area.

This Sunday we will be looking at the Biblical model of church leadership that is necessary if our church is to display the glory of King Jesus in our worship and in our witness. Come join us, same time, same place.

On Saturday we had the great privilege to experience first hand God's faithfulness. Our sister church Matepatepa Reformed Baptist Church opened the doors of their brand new church. The first church building in that region.

Most of the churches there are the Mapositori who meet under the trees and the few Pentecostals either have a temporary shelter somewhere or they rent a classroom. The Lord has been good to our brothers and sisters. May the building be a symbol of God's faithfulness, may Christ be the center and the subject always talked about in that building. May many people see the beauty of Christ more than the beauty of the building.

please pray for them as they look for funds to finish the painting and ceiling of their building.
May Jesus's name be praised always in Matepatepa.

The highlight of the week is always the time we meet as a family at church. We raise our prayers together to our father, we sing songs that glorifies our King Jesus and lifts our souls. We sit and hear our Father speak to us through the preaching of His Word. We wrap up the day with some time of sweet fellowship enjoying maputi. How we wish everyday was a Sunday.
Blessed be the name of our Lord.

But women will be preserved through the bearing of children if they continue in faith and love and sanctity with self-restraint."

Our text for this coming Lord's day. A not so easy passage we have been looking at for the past 3 weeks starting from verse 11 of 1Timothy 2.

We thank the Lord for His grace in such times to give us understanding of His Word and the capability to obey it so that even our worship as a church can be pleasing to Him.

"Worship must not be designed to please the unbeliever or the believer. Worship should be designed to please God."

Apostle Paul so far has taught us in Chapter 2 of 1Timothy, who we should pray for and what to pray for. We should pray first and foremost for everyone including our leaders and we should pray for their salvation.

Now in our text, Paul teaches us who we need to be as we pray. He addresses the conduct expected both from men and women. There is a kind of worship that pleases God and one that He despises.

Join us tomorrow as we expound what the Word of God has to say about the way we should worship. Dorothea Mission is the place

We were led in our Bible Study by elder Gilbert Gotora when we looked at the Person of Jesus Christ. It is easier for many to believe the deity of Jesus and how difficulty it is to believe His humanity.

We were led during our worship service by brother Owen where prayers were raised, songs of praise were sung to our great God.

We then finished off looking at three reasons why every Christian should pray for the world from 1Timothy 2:3-7. The motivation behind our praying for the world is God's passion for the world. 1) We pray because God desires the salvation of all the people, 2) we pray because God deserves the honor of all people, 3) we pray because Christ died for the rescue of all people.

And what does all this imply? As we pray to God for all people, we must also preach the Gospel to all people. Begin now dear Christian to share about Jesus. Announce to that brother or sister dying in their sin that there is a Savior and His name is Jesus. He is the only mediator between God and men.

Blessed be the name of our Lord
