Devotional Preaching.
Topic: The Lord will restore the lost glory.

Scriptures:‭‭Judges 16:22 NIV‬‬
[22] But the hair on his head began to grow again after it had been shaved.
[30] Samson said, “Let me die with the Philistines!” Then he pushed with all his might, and down came the temple on the rulers and all the people in it. Thus he killed many more when he died than while he lived.

● The enemy always seeks to stripe you of good things, for he uses trouble to drive you away from God.

●He wants your faith to fret as you will feel like God is not caring and is not anywhere close.

●As with Job he asked God to allow him to take away all his possession and see if he will still believe and remain faithful to God.
● He uses the same tactics today, he wins for some who deny God in such situation and seek help from diviners.
- Some even end their lives.
●He drives you into a sin and expose you, you can't bear the shame, the style of shaving is hard to face the world with and the next thing you run away from church or at the worst you commit su***de.
● Your marriage used to be that sweety and enjoyable, the enemy comes, drops one bomb and the rift can't be mend. You feel like home is hell when with the spouse and at the worst you are contemplating divorce.
• The enemy has shaved the glorious hair.

●Your business, your job used to pay you well but now you hardly afford what you used to enjoy, you may be thinking of stealing ,if in business you're thinking of unfaithful practices.
- All he need is to take you away from God.
●He will always make you busy for everything that has to do with God even a short prayer.
• The enemy shaves the hair that make you burn and be on fire 🔥 for God.
● He wants you lukewarm and passive. He wants you as spectator in the house of God.
●You relations with others have all of a sudden become sour, you hate with passion, but the nature of God is love meaning you are the exact opposite of God.
The enemy has shaved the glorious hair.
● You used to love your leaders but for now you are rebellious, infact you try keep a distant from you pastor in every way. All you hate is the way they speak the exact opposite of your lifestyle.
The enemy is taking away the covering of your head and you a prone to attack by wolves.

● Despite what you are going through, the state of your personal life, your marriage, your business , your relations and your prayer life, God will restore the lost glory.
• The hair will grow again, pray to the Lord, push with all your might, that he strengthens you once more and you will overcome the enemy more than you did before.
•You marriage will be more and more enjoyable than the first day.
• You business and your job will reward you more than befores.
• You relations wherever will brighten up.
• You peace be multiplied.

Hearing from God.
Isaiah‬ ‭6:8‭-‬10‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[8] Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?” And I said, “Here am I. Send me!” [9] He said, “Go and tell this people: “ ‘Be ever hearing, but never understanding; be ever seeing, but never perceiving.’ [10] Make the heart of this people calloused; make their ears dull and close their eyes. Otherwise they might see with their eyes, hear with their ears, understand with their hearts, and turn and be healed.”
▪︎Hearing is to comprehend or diligently discerning what God is saying to us.
•God communicates with his people and is more than willing to fellowship with us.
• We only need to yield to him.
• We need to have a revelation of God through his word and through experience.
-We need a personal experience with God , the word of God must leave me with believing. ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11:6‬ ‭NIV‬‬
[6] And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
•Jesus taught the word and put it in practice.
• Belief must bring knowledge.
Daniel 11:32 And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.
•Knowledge affect what we are.
● When God speaks he increases our knowledge of God.
• Hearing is relating to God.
Steps to hearing God
1. Understand being in the presence of God.
- Always love the presence of God and he will speak into your life.
2. Minister to God in worship.
- worship is our primary ministry ( Romans 12:1-2).
3. Look beyond circumstances and look to God.
Isaiah had to look beyond the circumstances because prophets were despised in times of good order.
4. Know who you are before God, for we are children of the Most High.
Hearing depends on

1. Our level of personal yieldness to God.
-Yielding to God is fundamental to hearing God.
2. Level of dependence on God.

Hebrews11:8 By faith Abraham did as God said when he was ordered to go out into a place which was to be given to him as a heritage, and went out without knowledge of where he was going.
9 By faith he was a wanderer in the land of the agreement, as in a strange land, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, who had a part with him in the same heritage:
10 For he was looking for the strong town, whose builder and maker is God.
11 And by faith Sarah herself had power to give birth, when she was very old, because she had faith in him who gave his word;

■ Faith is obedience to the word of God, It is agreeing with God.
■Faith is saying the same thing as God, it is total surrender(yielding) your thoughts and action to God.
■ If we are to see miracles, we have to go beyond our common sense.
■ For the things of God are by revelations and not by logical reasoning, they are not of the learned, no amount of education or theology can exhaust God.
■Yahweh is Yahweh because no man can reason against him and succeed.
■ If Abraham had reasoned about the destination instead of obeying God we would not be talking of him as the father of faith, instead he obeyed and went without knowing where he was going.
■ Because he obeyed his inheritance is great to this day- a great city whose builder and maker is God.
■Faith is for generations not for now, it is for you and your children- it unlocks the doors of progress against every force that pulls you back.
■It propels us forward knowing no boundaries, Faith is of God and God respond to faith.

Topic: The common man doing the uncommon
Scriptures: Acts 4:13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated, common men, they were astonished. And they recognised that they had been with Jesus.
🏜 Jesus came to take us from the mud unto the palace.
🏜He saw us poor and made us rich
🏜He found us weak and gave us strength.
🏜He saw us in a defeated state, helpless and made us more than. conquerors.
🏜 We were common men, but Jesus promoted us to uncommon men, We are winners not of our own making but the Lord made us uncommon.
🏜Our belief in Jesus promoted us from the natural to the supernatural.
🏜 One can not walk with God and remains the same, walking with God should transform the fool to the wise, the weak to the strong, darkness to light and the poor to the rich.
🏜 The fearful should be left bold, the word of God and Holy spirit leave us strong ,bold, joyous- thus making the common uncommon.
Prayer: Father, we thank you for your grace and your love that you had bestowed us from the beginning of the world, in our helpless and hopeless state, you promoted us to uncommon men, you ordained strength in the mouth of babies and infants. We continue to thank you and to rejoice in the level of glory and power you gave us. Amen
