*CACC Devotional: The Heavenly Family*
Theme: The Power of Covenant and Unity
Scripture Focus:
“Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?” – Amos 3:3
“Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.” – Matthew 18:19-20
“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor.” – Ecclesiastes 4:9
*Message:*
This morning, the Lord is reminding the Heavenly Family that we are not meant to walk alone. Our strength as CACC is not in individual talent, but in covenant and unity.
Look at Amos 3:3. God uses a simple question: Can two walk together unless they agree? Agreement here is not just about liking each other. It’s covenant alignment. It’s when two hearts submit to the same direction of God. That’s why God could walk with Abraham, Moses, and David—they agreed with His will.
Jesus Himself confirmed this in Matthew 18:19-20. When two or three agree and gather in His name, His presence is guaranteed and heaven backs their request. There is power when covenant people pray, plan, and move together. Division cancels prayer. Unity attracts God’s presence.
Ecclesiastes 4:9 gives us the practical reason: Two are better than one. Why? Because when one falls, the other lifts. When one grows weary, the other strengthens. In covenant, labor multiplies and burdens divide.
Think of David and Jonathan. Their covenant was not built on convenience but on mutual commitment to God’s purpose. When Saul turned against David, Jonathan stood in the gap. That’s what covenant unity does—it stands when it’s inconvenient.
For us as the Heavenly Family, this means:
1. *Our agreement matters.* We must guard unity by staying aligned to Christ and to one another. Gossip, competition, and pride break covenant.
2. *Our gathering matters.* Wherever two or three gather in His name, Jesus shows up. Don’t despise small fellowships, prayer meetings, and family altars. That’s where power is released.
3. *Our labor multiplies.* When we carry one another’s burdens and celebrate one another’s wins, we see better returns than if we walked alone.
Today, God is calling us to renew our covenant with Him and with one another. Not just to be in the same church, but to be in the same spirit.
*Reflection Question:*
Is there any relationship or ministry area where you’ve been walking alone instead of agreeing and walking with someone in covenant?
*Prayer:*
Father, thank You for calling us into covenant and unity. Forgive us where we have walked in division and independence. Align our hearts with Yours and with one another. Let Your presence rest among us as we agree in prayer and purpose. Strengthen our hands to labor together for Your kingdom. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
*Yours in Christ,*
