Promoting and walking the BEACON vision, DS Rev John Makaniko donated and presented a book entitled "A guide to Christian Preaching" to a new local preacher Mr Kelvin Bonde. The book set out the guidlines of effective preaching as the church focuses on Bold Evangelism to bring more souls to Christ for the transformation of the world. The author of the book is non other than Rev John Makaniko. Furthermore the DS pledged a donation of 100 roofing tiles to Southlea Park U.M.C parsonage which is now at roof level.

Celebration of ministry through charge conferences has begun. The journey kicked off at Southlea Park U.M.C circuit . This also marks DS Rev John Makaniko's first charge conference since assuming office in Harare East District of the United Methodist Church.
