Dealing with Bloodline issues continued
It is a fact that many of the issues that people are struggling with have their roots somewhere else and those that are facing the consequences have nothing to do with the origins. However, there are other situations that the very people that committed an error are facing the consequences thereof. The great news is that one does not need to suffer the symptoms or effects of what others did nor what they did in the days of ignorance. There is grace afforded by the Lord Jesus to deal with every situation and break free from every adverse effect. The only thing is one has to actively take action to confront the matter.

Some people have left adverse situations unattended and claim they are in a time of grace and therefore adverse situations are dealt by merely confessing the blessings of God. Others continue to wait upon the Lord when the Lord is waiting upon them to exercise the authority that he has given every believer to deal with evil. There are others that also argue that when you have received salvation old situations are automatically passed away and the new has come. While this is very true, that does not absolve one from going through deliverance. There is generally a misconception about deliverance. One does not have to sit before someone and have them lay hands on you and cast out demons. This is not necessarily the issue when one is dealing with bloodline issues although it is not bad. It requires the individual to take charge over their lives.

Steps to dealing with bloodline issues
(Exo 34:7) Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.

The word of God suggests here that because of his mercy, God will forgive iniquity, transgression and sin. Now for one to be forgiven it means they have asked for forgiveness. They have acknowledged and confessed that they made an error. (1Jn 1:9) If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

To be able to confess one needs to know the errors that were committed in the generations. This calls for one to:
a) Identify the iniquities/ animal spirits in their lives to the third and fourth generation back, on the mother and father`s side;
b) Research on the patterns and conditions that affect them and their generations;
c) Confess the iniquity, transgressions and sins known and unknown committed by the forefathers and themselves in times of ignorance;
d) Disconnect from the animal spirits as follows:
- Using Heb 4:12 separate the soul and spirit of the person from the animal spirit.
(Heb 4:12) For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
- Pray to be connected to the Lord Jesus by using the grafting scripture Romans 11:16-17 and John 15:4-5.
(Rom 11:16) For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.(Rom 11:17) And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;
(Joh 15:4) Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
(Joh 15:5) I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
e) Destroy and disarm the powers and principalities(iniquity) from which one has been separated;
Use (2Th 2:8) And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming;
(Col 2:15) And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
(Isa 27:1) In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.
(Jer 23:29) Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces? Use the the word of God that is like a hammer to break the animal spirit in pieces and like fire to consume it into ashes.

f) Destroy the altars erected by the forefathers which include the natural habitat of the animals. These are altars destroyed in the spirit. These will include forests, water bodies, mountains, the air etc.
(Isa 27:9) By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up.

g) Break the old covenants and foundations;
(Isa 28:18) And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it.
h) Build New foundations and enter a new covenant with Jesus;
(Isa 28:16) Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.
(Heb 12:24) And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

A new foundation and new covenants can only be built upon Jesus Christ and sealed by his blood which is more precious than the blood of animals and even of people.

i) Declare the superiority and power of the blood of Jesus especially the redemptive and overcoming power.
(Rev 5:9) And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
(Rev 12:11) And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

It is by the blood of Jesus that all were redeemed from tribal and national strongholds as well as other strongholds. It is by the blood of Jesus that we overcome the spiritual power of the enemy.
j) Declare the sovereignty, kingship and lordship of Jesus over your life, family and the generations to come.
k) Claim and declare the promises of God over your life, family and the generations.

The full blessings of God that are in Jesus Christ can only be realized when there is a clean foundation built upon Jesus Christ the chief cornerstone. No house should be built on an old foundation otherwise it follows the pattern of the old.

This general guideline ensures that Jeremiah 1:10 is fulfilled.
(Jer 1:10) See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.

Dealing with Bloodline issues
Bloodline issues are varied and so are their causes. But what is this blood that one is talking about that carries certain conditions from one generation to another? How is it possible? The understanding of this issue is crucial in understanding how one can then deal with bloodline conditions.

My major reference in the discussions that I put across is my conversations with the Holy Spirit and cases that are revealed to me from the Bible. I also have empirical evidence as I pray with different people and have different family conditions manifest. It became evident that people that had issues like high blood pressure, diabetes, barrenness and others often had a history of the condition in the family. What made a difference between people was whether the conditions were coming from the mother or the father`s side or both. Based on that knowledge, prayers would be conducted addressing the parental side in question.

It was also after I had observed different behaviour traits in families that I asked the Holy Spirit why the different manifestations? I then got the answer that it was because of the animals they deified. Equipped with this knowledge I have prayed for myself and with others to break some limitations in life and in my family as well as in other people`s lives and families. The process has not been simple and short, but a long process in which different dimensions of life have been dealt with.

These patterns have not only been observed concerning people and their families and lineage but have been also observed concerning cities and nations.

Back to what is then called blood? And hence bloodline? How is it identified? This is what I called a spiritual genetic code. It is a spiritual identification which can be seen in the spiritual realm. It can be seen as an image of the deified animal, or it can be seen as a garment representing the deified animal. One can be connected through sounds, smell and what one may call instinct. A person with a spiritual eye may be able to see these in the spirit. One could encounter these in dreams and visions as the stronghold announces its presence in a person`s life.
The word of God says life is in the blood (Gen 9:4) But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.
(Lev 17:11) For the life of the flesh is in the blood: and I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls: for it is the blood that maketh an atonement for the soul. (Lev 17:12) Therefore I said unto the children of Israel, No soul of you shall eat blood, neither shall any stranger that sojourneth among you eat blood.

In the natural, a person gets their blood identity or blood type from their parents. Therefore their blood identity is closely linked and connected to their parents. In the same way, the spiritual blood identity of a person is defined by their parents. But now, this identity is now linked to the animal that a person deifies. They have a similar spiritual DNA. This linkage came through covenants that were made in the generations with the spirits of the animals. Because of the covenants, these spirits have legal rights over a person, family, lineage, tribe and all. They actually claim ownership of the people in the same way that Jesus claims ownership of people that have invited him as their personal Lord and saviour.

A person that is saved claims to have the blood of Jesus running in their body. But physically they may still have a group “ A”, “B”, “O” or “AB” in them. The blood of Jesus is the spiritual blood in that saved and delivered person. Before they are saved and delivered, it is the totemic blood/ animal deified that runs in the person. What is contained in this blood is what then manifests in a person. It is the life that they manifest. (Eph 2:2) Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:
(Eph 2:3) Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

In the natural when one needs a blood transfusion, doctors choose a donor with a blood type that will match the recipient`s. If not the recipient will reject the blood put into them and start to react to that blood one way or the other. Spiritually, those with the same blood type match and can exchange blood and therefore sustain one another. Therefore we can argue that there is a matching of in the spiritual blood along totemic lines that is common to all and serves to sustain one another.

Dealing with bloodline conditions?
Equipped with the knowledge that a bloodline condition is contained in the spiritual DNA of a person, which is also totemically determined, it is therefore easy to deal with the issues. (Pro 11:9)”…but through knowledge shall the just be delivered”.
(Pro 11:21)… but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.
(Pro 28:26)… but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.

If one has knowledge, is a seed of the righteous and walks wisely, then they will be delivered.
Therefore to be delivered one needs to satisfy these conditions:
- Be Saved
Salvation ensures that one is righteous before God. They are in right standing with God and can have access to the necessary weapons to then break the spiritual DNA that they do not want and acquire a new blood group of Jesus.
Salvation gives one access to the name of Jesus, the blood of Jesus, the word of God and angelic support that one will need to be delivered. Deliverance means to liberate, rescue, escaping, freedom etc.

- Have knowledge
If one has information that the battle they are fighting is spiritual and not physical they will be correctly directed. Again, if they have knowledge that their disorders have origins in iniquity then they are better directed.
Roman 1:21-32 clearly indicates that many behavioural disorders are a result of iniquity/totemic alignment. Again Galatians 5:19-21 gives a list of those conditions that are fleshly or a manifestation of iniquity.

One needs to do their own research about the conditions in the bloodline and the totemic, ancestral or foundational spirits worshipped by their ancestors so that they know what spirits they ought to deal with and how they behave in their natural environment.
(1Co 9:26) I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:
It is good that one engages in warfare knowing and seeing their target/ enemy.

- Be wise
Dealing with bloodline conditions is a warfare issue and to wage war one needs to be wise. If one lacks wisdom, they may end up harmed rather than delivered. For example, it would be foolish to fight a crocodile or fish in the water, you will be defeated because it has a comparative advantage in its natural habitat. Likewise it would not be wise to pray destruction to a stronghold before separating from it. It would not be wise to build a life in Christ without destroying the totemic foundations in one`s life.
I have often heard people get to prayer and the first thing they say is that they destroy ancestral spirits, and that the ancestral spirits don’t have power. This in my view is not wise and is a prayer born out of ignorance and fear.
Jeremiah 1:10 gives the formula of spiritual warfare. Uproot, pull down, destroy, overthrow then one builds and plants the new that lasts.
(Jer 1:10) See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.

Bloodline issues continued
A dictionary meaning of bloodline is: descent, lineage, ancestry, family, history, heritage, origin, etc. Therefore when one talks about bloodline, they automatically refer to a person` lineage/origin/ ancestry and such issues. These are issues that are common to a particular people or tribe and could even extent to race/ colour. It was pointed out in one post that a tribe can be identified or described by a common object that they deify. Taking that line of argument, it therefore suggests that there are traits that are common to people of a similar descent. I assert that there is a spiritual genetic encoding that is in people of the same lineage/ tribe descent. It is common to see that believers in a certain family may act no different to non- believers in the same family. For example a pastor member of a family could suffer similar cyclical misfortunes as a non- pastor in the family. They could all face outbursts of anger, spouse abuse, divorce, addictions (alcohol/ drug abuse etc). While the believer knows that they are not supposed to do such things, they however find themselves involved one way or the other and not be able to get out of the `system`. Counselling may not be able to help a person if they have not been disconnected from the stronghold upon their life.

I will discuss some examples I have witnessed that help explain the bloodline issues.
Case 1: Eating soil/dust
I encountered a man of God that was district pastor at the time that I met him. As we discussed issues of iniquity he presented an issue he and his children had. That was eating a particular type of soil that is commonly sold and eaten by pregnant women. The argument being that it is rich in the mineral iron that pregnant women sometimes need. This was not a pregnant person but a male adult and his children both male and female. The way the pastor described the craving for this soil was so serious that he could take money that was set aside for the family to buy this stuff to satisfy the craving. He said he could even be on his knees and beg the wife to give him money to buy the stuff. Such was the case with the children.

Fortunately, on this particular day in a time of teaching and intercession, the curse pronounced by God over the serpent in the Garden of Eden, that it would eat dust was taught. Immediately the pastor said I have been eating the food of the serpent. Incidentally, the spirit that the family deified was the serpent/python spirit. By the grace of God, he renounced his connection and prayer to break ties with this spirit was made. From that day he and his children never had the craving to eat that stuff again.
(Gen 3:14) And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:
When the pastor received that revelation and that knowledge and addressed the issue, he was delivered. Before the revelation, he did not appreciate that he was even in bo***ge. Eating the stuff was normal and it was accepted. He and his children had a certain stuff they craved for and that was not a big deal.
There may be some things that we have taken for granted but they are an oppression from the evil one and a simple prayer can have the power to break the behaviour. But as the word says (Pro 11:9)”… : but through knowledge shall the just be delivered.”

Case 2. Boldness of a leader
This is not a deliverance issue but a demonstration of a bloodline issue.
The first President of Zimbabwe, Gabriel Robert Mugabe was known for his boldness and the ability to confront the west and the United Nations on issues that they were discriminating Africa. He boldly declared to the United Kingdom then under the leadership of Tony Blair, the he (Robert Mugabe) would keep his Zimbabwe and so Tony Blair should keep his Britain and not interfere in a sovereign state. Although sanctions were imposed against Zimbabwe, he did not move from his position. To his death, he maintained his position that Zimbabwe would never be a colony again. While his words did not bring change to the position of the United Nations and United Kingdom respectively, it is on record that he challenged those super powers.

Robert Mugabe was known to be from a people that deified the crocodile. The bible refers to this animal as Leviathan, the dragon, serpent or whale. These are some of the things the Bible says about this animal:
(Job 41:33) Upon earth there is not his like, who is made without fear.
(Job 41:34) He beholdeth all high things: he is a king over all the children of pride.
(Eze 29:3) Speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lieth in the midst of his rivers, which hath said, My river is mine own, and I have made it for myself.

The crocodile is fearless, holds itself in high regard, has pride and considers itself owning a territory which it considers personal.

Measuring these characteristics of the crocodile against Robert Gabriel Mugabe, shows its strong influences upon him.

- He was fearless and considered in high regard. People would not mess up and do whatever they wanted during his term of office;
- He had pride for sure, not allowing to be tossed left right and centre by other nations. When the Commonwealth became overbearing, he and his country, withdrew from it;
- He maintained a privileged position and lifestyle which he extended to his cronies. Even when he was old, he remained in active service. No one was supposed to take the limelight while he was still alive. An elder crocodile will not give up privileges for another especially a young one. If a young crocodile takes a strategic position basking in the sun, then a bloody war can ensue. The young is sure to be defeated and will never rise again.

When one considers how the opposition parties in Zimbabwe and leaders ended up, the influence of the crocodile stronghold is very strong. None of them lived to see their efforts materialize into leading the nation.

The person that eventually took over, though not a crocodile by totem is crocodile by design. This therefore maintained the crocodile spirit at the helm. This is like the bloodline of the crocodile continues at the “throne” of the nation. There are other spiritual dimensions to maintaining this crocodile strongman ruling. A fuller discussion of that will be done under the discussion of the nation of Zimbabwe dynamics.

Numerous other cases can be cited but these two cases can amplify the bloodline issues and different ways they can influence people`s lives and lives of other people especially where leaders are concerned. While a national leader was given as an example, similar issues are facing leader in the Body of Christ, the church.

Exploring some bloodline issues
Bloodline issues are conditions that are termed hereditary in scientific terms. They can also be referred to as conditions that run in the family, generational or bloodline issues. While some are easily explained genetically, there are some that do not easily lend themselves to genetic explanations. Bloodline issues range from health, social (relationships across board), and intellectual, financial, marital and other issues. There are some families that are just prone to certain conditions and certain patterns in life which can be difficult to detect unless one has some spiritual insight. A lot of these patterns have been tackled by many people under the subject of “Generational Curses”. However, there are still other conditions that may not fall into the category of a curse. Certain life patterns may follow people because of the things they have chosen to deify. This therefore becomes a generational issue as relating to people of the same family, and also a tribal issue as relating to people deifying a common thing. As a tribal issue, it suggests people are not blood relations but are connected by the thing that they commonly deify.

What is the spiritual principle behind?
a. (Pro 18:21) Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
When one deifies something they often talk about it in high regard and in praise one way or the other. They also associate themselves with the particular thing they deify. As one talks and calls upon the name of the being they deify, they automatically attract the characteristics of that being. Often there is a desire to emulate that being. Words are spiritual and before one realizes it, they have established a particular behaviour.

b. (Pro 23:7) For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:
When a person spends time thinking or meditating upon something, they manifest it. Now it is very common that people think and meditate on the characteristics of that thing that they deify. As a result they have manifested it. Confessing and meditation are spiritual activities that build a spiritual deposit in one`s soul. The results of that will be manifested as a particular behaviour or condition.

God made a commandment to the effect that people should not make images of these created things as he knew the greater impact it would have upon man.
(Deu 4:16) Lest ye corrupt yourselves, and make you a graven image, the similitude of any figure, the likeness of male or female,
(Deu 4:17) The likeness of any beast that is on the earth, the likeness of any winged fowl that flieth in the air,(Deu 4:18) The likeness of any thing that creepeth on the ground, the likeness of any fish that is in the waters beneath the earth:(Deu 4:19) And lest thou lift up thine eyes unto heaven, and when thou seest the sun, and the moon, and the stars, even all the host of heaven, shouldest be driven to worship them, and serve them, which the LORD thy God hath divided unto all nations under the whole heaven.

The images forbidden include those of human beings in addition to animals of the land, birds, crawling and creeping things, fishes in the water and any heavenly hosts.

There are a few conditions that I want to list and link them to specific animals that are deified.

The Lion:
- The women tend to be active in providing for the family and just looking after the welfare of the family;
- Domineering and protective of the family;
- Social and accommodative to others while keeping within specific boundaries;
- Prone to destroying things before their potential is realized;
- They are susceptible to more than one marriage.

Eland
- All male and female tend to have a sharp discernment of danger and are hardly caught unawares;
- The women are generally very loud such and can express their anger really bad;
- The women are quite social and easily colonize the place they are. They become the identification/reference point.

Baboon/monkey
- These tend to be unstable and not settling down permanently in one area of life or another;
- They can easily defraud others or be defrauded.
- The males may demand a lot of respect and want preference as opposed to the young;
- They can be very possessive and not want to let go.

Cattle
- Hard working but also prone to being exploited;
- Males can be very promiscuous and have children all over;
- Do not readily accept strangers.

Crocodile
- Sublime/hidden but very territorial and authoritative;
- The elders want privileges;
- Selfish
Eagle
- Loyal in relationships and tend to be monogamous or solitary. As individuals they may not have problems spending time alone. Once they trust, any breach of trust is “unforgiveable”
- caring for children;
- Territorial and generally remain small;
- Thinkers but bad workers.

Elephant
Destructive to one`s own environment;
Unforgiving;
Gossip;
Delayed manifestation of things.

Serpent
They can be deceptive people;
Selfish people and malicious;
Like eating special soil.

Zebra
- Community people and close to their children;
- Not easily tamed choosing to remain in the environment they know;
- Extremely smart and beautiful;
- Extravagant;
- Arrogant and the men can be on the promiscuous side.

These are some of the character traits that can be found in people based on the animals they deify.
These become strongholds that can run in families and tribes. Praise poems (chidawo) often accompany the deifying of the totemic animal and as they are said regularly the characteristic are reinforced. Actually the praise poems have become the handwriting of ordinances (Col 2:14) that is against a person/ tribe. It is against a person because it praises a totemic being, the deceased, places and nothing about God the creator.

There is no known genes that can be found for the particular traits, yet these traits do exist and some have hindered the progress of people.

These traits can only be broken by systematically using the word of God, the name and blood of Jesus. They are not wished away, nor broken at salvation.

Behavioural influences of totems/iniquity vs. the Holy Spirit
People as individuals have different behaviours or characters that are unique to them. Some behaviours are unique to a group of people. There are many factors that are put forward that influence the behaviour of individuals or group of individuals. Scientifically/ biologically, the genetic makeup of a person influences the behaviour of a person. The physical and social environment also influence the character of a person. In addition to these factors, I assert that there is a spiritual being that also influence behaviour/character of a person. I want to search the scriptures to support my assertion.
(Php 2:5) Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
(1Co 2:16) For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
(Joh 15:4) Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.

The above scriptures point out that a person can have a mind like another and in this case it is a mind of Christ. The mind shapes one`s character. Again scripture suggests that there can be an indwelling of one into another in which another then bears fruits in line with the principal/tree. Therefore the behaviour of one is then determined by the other. Clearly this is all referring to the spiritual aspects or rather the influence of the soul which then brings a physical manifestation termed character.
God is a spirit and therefore his influence is spiritual but brings physical expression. The Holy Spirit knows the mind of God and will therefore influence a person according to the mind of God. A person with the spirit of God will behave in a way that is similar to God. Thus the first term “Christians” was used to describe a people whose behaviour was like Christ.

I want to put forward a scripture that has now become common when talking about iniquity.
(Eze 28:15) Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till iniquity was found in thee.
(Jer 33:8) And I will cleanse them from all their iniquity, whereby they have sinned against me; and I will pardon all their iniquities, whereby they have sinned, and whereby they have transgressed against me.
(Pro 22:25) Lest thou learn his ways, and get a snare to thy soul.
(1Co 15:33) Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.

The devil/ Lucifer is spirit. The serpent, the iniquity that was found in Lucifer is spirit and will influence a person accordingly. As such a person with that spirit will manifest the devilish character. Jesus Christ talking to the Pharisees told them that they were like their father the devil who was a liar and a murderer from the beginning. This suggests an influence from a spiritual force to bring a behavioural trait on a person.

While the character or the ways of Lucifer were perfect at one point, his character changed because of a spiritual influence. God even said iniquity was behind sin and transgression. It has since been pointed out that iniquity is synonymous with totemic spirit. Now if iniquity can cause one to sin and transgress it therefore implies that the totemic spirit can cause one to sin and transgress.

How is behaviour or character changed by a totemic spirit?
Before answering this, let us first of all look at what a spirit is capable of changing a person into.
(Gal 5:22) But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,:23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
The manifestation of the Spirit of God in a person is therefore love. Love has other attributes associated with it as mentioned above. On the other hand, the works of iniquity which are also referred as the works of the flesh include the following:
(Gal 5:19) Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,:20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,:21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

In another passage scripture, a similar list is given:
(Rom 1:26) For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;:29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,:30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
:31 Without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Romans 1 gives an even comprehensive list of deviant behaviour that is caused by iniquity or totemic spirits. Obviously, it is different spirits that will cause different behaviours. A person may have one or two or more characteristics from the list given. This will depend on the type of totemic spirits in a person`s life. These are from the mother and father`s side, to the third and fourth generation. If there was no intervention along the line, then it goes further and further back into the generations as far back as the point of injunction.

This is what God says about totemic behaviours:
(Exo 20:5) Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;

This is the punishment due to a person that is found with iniquity. How is that sin of iniquity distinguished? How does one find out that it is because if iniquity that one is behaving the way they are?

To give a guideline, we go back to the original sin in the garden and find out firstly how Lucifer then behaved with the serpent spirit or serpent totem in him.
- He became a liar and deceiver or schemer. The word serpent means liar or deceiver or troublemaker;
- Corrupted wisdom. A serpent is wise. Lucifer was made with wisdom but the wisdom that Lucifer operated in was no longer heavenly wisdom;
- Lack of remorse. The serpent did not apologize when asked what he had done. Since what it did was natural to it, it did not find anything to explain or apologize;
- He was covetous of God and man`s position;
- A serpent is sometimes portrayed as cruel biting/killing something that it does not eat;
- Self - centeredness;
- Call for allegiance, wanted man to obey him, hence worshipping him.
In summary, Lucifer took a new nature that by and large manifested the serpentine nature.

This is basically the manifestation of the totemic spirits in a person. Their behaviour becomes consistent with the behaviour of the being that is their totem.
This maybe evidenced by repeated sin of a similar nature without showing remorse for the sin. A pattern of behaviour that is ungodly may be seen over generations. For example the Bible records Abraham having lied about Sarah as his sister and Sarah lied that Abram was her brother. In the next generation, Isaac lied about Rebecca being his sister and vice versa. Although the statements were not absolutely untrue, they were all conservative with the truth.
From Abram to Jacob a case of intra marriages which could well be called in**st was evident but this was encouraged in the families over the generations. While we may call it in**st, in the animal kingdom it is in breeding, a natural phenomenon in the pride of a lion. The case of in**st is also observed in the family of King David. In the genealogy of Abram, the lion spirit was dominant, being from Ur of the Chaldees. Although God told him to leave his country, his kindred and his father`s house, he found himself asking his servant to go back where God had removed him, to get a wife for his son Isaac. Abram seemed to have forgotten what God had said to him. He instead used his own reasoning. He listened to the voice of iniquity and reconnected with the family that he had been told to disconnect from.

From the list of sins people commit, it is evident that everything is a result of iniquity. Even the issue of homosexuality, fornication and adultery are linked to iniquity/totemic spirits.

When one can identify the source spirit of a problem, the solution thereof becomes easier. Most of what people term as causes are actually symptoms or manifestations of a spirit. For example corruption or greedy is often cited as a problem of leaders especially in Africa. But corruption is not a cause it is a manifestation/symptom. Identifying the cause can then lead to a solution.

Iniquity/ totemic spirits lie at the foundations of people`s lives as it stems from the garden. Every person one way or the other would need to deal with this issue in their lives. It is not an issue finished by salvation, but is a deliverance issue.
