MONUMENTAL REMINDERS

Josh.4.2 - "Now choose twelve men, one from each tribe.
Josh.4.3 - Tell the men to take twelve stones from where the priests are standing in the middle of the Jordan and pile them up at the place where you camp tonight."

When the Israelites crossed the red sea, they failed to come up with anything that would testify or prove that with God they had passed through the dry bottom of a sea. They only had the word of their mouth which quickly faded away.

This i belive was the reason why the miracle at the red sea failed to inspire them when faced with new difficulties or challenges along the way. They had nothing physical that reminded them of how faithful God was to them, something that would remind and inspire them to belive in God whilst in their current situation and challenges.

An error that most people do, when God blesses or rescues you from serious life challenges or phases, they fail to build monumental reminders not for their own glory but for proof record and testimony of the wonder God did while they were in an insurmountable situation or challenge. Memories quickly fade away, hence fomer mighty miracles will seize to be great in our minds as time progresses, thereby they won't motivate or build our faith in God when faced with new problems.

A house is one such monument, a wedding ring can be proof enough. Buying a car in such a dry economy, surely is a Jordan stone to prove God's hand. When God heals you, gives you a job why cann't you buy even a single chair or decor for the church. In years to come it will stand as a reminder to you that God who once did it, is still able.

TAKE IT UPON YOURSELF

1Sam.1.8 - "What's the matter, Hannah?" Elkanah would ask. "Why aren't you eating? Why be so sad just because you have no children? You have me--isn't that better than having ten sons?"

There are people who are very good at comforting others who are in depressing situations. Have you ever noticed that those who comfort you are in better positions than you, they don't even understand the grief you are experiencing, yet they want you to be comfortable and calm in that state of barreness.

These people they don't know how it feels to have no job and spending the whole day at home, they don't know how it feels to have no marriage at 40 years of age, they dont know how it feels to be barren and seeing other peoples children jumping up and down the streets. Them they go to work, they are married therefore they don't share the same grief with you, yet they comfort you to accept a situation that they themselves could not tolerate.

Elkanah had other children with Peninnah, so Hannah knew better not be comforted by someone who already had what she didn't have. She understood noone would come and fight for her other than herself. She knew it was her duty to shake loose and breakfree from this yoke of barreness. Listening to and tolerating Elkanah's speech brought no change or any results. So she had to face the battle and fight.

It is you who is in a situation, you suffer a lot from from peroid pains, you are jobless, you are not married. No one but yourself can break that yoke upon you. Never rest until it is broken, push in prayer until something happens, do all you can to set yourself free. Dont be comforted by people who are healthy and don't know how it feels to be ill all year round. Give servants of God a hard time, sow seeds and build alters, fast and never miss any church service or mountain tour. Your determination determines your freedom.

WALK TALL

Luke.1.36 - What's more, your relative Elizabeth has become pregnant in her old age! *People used to say she was barren, but she's already in her sixth month.

People had already concluded on Elizabeth's condition. In peoples eyes, there was no way it was possible for a woman of such an advanced age to conceive. Therefore the world had already condemened her and labelled her as barren.

The unfortunate part of your story is, the way people perceive you is totally different from how God sees you. Their conclusion regarding your life does not determine God's decision and time to do His will in your life.

You might be advanced in age and still not married, its been a number of years now since you finished college but up to now you can't find a job. Somehow somewhere you could be barren in a certain way in your life. People might call you names, people might say you are finished, people may disqualify you but not God.

Therefore there is no reason to be downcast or demoralised by peoples negative comments over your situation. The one who created you is not done with you yet, infact He hasn't even begun with you though the world has already concluded.

Don't give them your ear, don't bear the unnecessary weight of their condemnation, their opinion is not God's opinion. Brace up yourself, summon your confidence, chin up and walk tall, God is about to shock the world through you.

SLEEPING ON DUTY

1Kgs.3.19 - But her baby died during the night when she rolled over on it.
1Kgs.3.20 - Then she got up in the night and took my son from beside me while I was asleep. She laid her dead child in my arms and took mine to sleep beside her.

Here we have got one common problem, that brought about all this chaos, confusion and misunderstanding. Both women had a weakness of oversleeping which caused them to loose their children.

Indeed too much sleep negatively affected both ladies, but my main worry is that the one with the living child goes an extra mile in oversleeping. Of which that is the category that most christians fall in.

Those in the world, lost or killed their God given gifts and blessings out of their own recklessness. But Christians, whom the world knows are blessed, usually tend to forsake their God when life gets good. And in such moments of sleep they fall victims to spiritual robbery.

Your destiny, your career, gift and blessing was highjacked when you overslept on duty. Now where you are is not where you are supposed to be; because when God blessed you, you took a vacation off prayer, disconnected yourself from servants of God and stopped attending church. Hence when the enemy checked on you, he found you asleep; and like proffessional robber he pounced on you and robbed you whilst you were dead in sleep.

Just as sleep is sweet, there is a demonic pleasure and sweetness you enjoy when you disconnect yourself from God. But the sweetness and pleasure comes with a price, it will cost you your living gift and blessing.

When God blesses you, never take a spiritual vacation, you will loose all.

VINDICATE MY CASE

Ps.142.1 I cry out to the LORD; I plead for the LORD's mercy.
Ps.142.2 I pour out my complaints before him and tell him all my troubles.

Everybody has his / her own problems. Everyone under the sun has a complaint to present before God.

Some are barren because of wicked people.

some grew up struggling in life as orphans and even upto now, life is treating them badly.

some are victims of serious socery and witchcraft, there is nothing you plan and do that succeeds.

You are married to a spritual wife or husband without your consent.

What you are is not what you are supposed to be..

What you have is not what you are supposed to be having.

Your position in life today, is not where you are supposed to be.

Somewhere somehow, someone interchanged your destiny.

Today i want you to pour out complaints before the Lord.

Report to Him all your troubles and challenges.

Tell Him and trust Him for a righteous judgement.

Therefore pour out all your complaints before the Lord.

NO REST

Prov.6.10 - A little extra sleep, a little more slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest -
Prov.6.11 - and poverty will pounce on you like a bandit; scarcity will attack you like an armed robber.

In this day and age, it is very dangerous to rely on someone's prayer. Yes servants of God may pray for you, but you have a lager role to play when it comes to praying especially for yourself.

Have your own time table of fellowship and talking to God. Its no one's duty to remind you to pray, and your prayer benefits noone other than you, so why be pushed by someone to pray ?

It doesn't matter you spent the whole day at church, it doesn't matter you prayed a lot yesterday, today find time to pray again, lest the enemy pounces on you whilst you are taking a prayer rest or nap.

Our enemy will never take a leave or off day to attack you, even if he attacked you seriously yesterday, today he can even attack you even more; so why do you take pleasure in resting for prayer, why go on a spiritual leave or holiday ?

Never fold your hands to rest. Once you relax in prayer, automatically you become the prey. So pray without ceasing.

THE APPROVED ROUTE

Ps.22.1 - My God, my God! Why have you forsaken me? Why do you remain so distant? Why do you ignore my cries for help?

You may think God has abondoned and forsken you. You have prayed and it seems He has got no intention whatsoever to respond to your prayer. All this is evidence that whatever you are passing through is necessary and very essential for your promotion to take place.

Did you know ? If there was anyway Joseph could escape, the pit, Potiphar's house and the prison, it was very impossible for his dream to be fulfilled. As long as that dream stood to be filfulled, this rough, tough and painful path was the route that God had designed to take him to his destiny.

If you have been praying aganist any negative case in your life and God is not taking it away, it means thats a God approved route or process to your elevation. Therefore instead of complaining and binding the pit or prison, why don't you pray for that painful process to quickly take place, so that you quickly reach your destiny and acheive your dream.

Going around in circles trying to find means to escape your enemies and the challenges they may bring aganist you, is actually an unnecessary way of delaying the fulfillment of your dream. Face them head on and quickly pass through the process and you will be home and dry.
