Before GPS. Before radio. Before any form of battlefield communication — there was the flag. 🏴
Armies used banners to rally troops, direct warfare, signal victory, and strike fear into the enemy. They weren't decoration. They were strategy.
Israel was a nation constantly at war. And the people who wrote Scripture understood flags the way we understand a WhatsApp message — instantly and completely.
So when the Bible mentions banners, it isn't being poetic for poetry's sake. It's speaking the language of warfare that every reader already knew.
