APOSTLE MATEKENYA VISITS GOROMONZI

The Apostle Matekenya yesterday Sunday 15th March 2024 conducted a divine service in Goromonzi which is under Harare East Rector District where he was accompaniedby the local leadership.

As a text word he read from John 15: 3

Message: *Serving with humility: the washing of feet*

Jesus knelt before His disciples. Are we likewise prepared to serve our neighbour?

■ The Son of God did not come to be served, but to serve.
■ His service was intended to give them access to fellowship with God.
■ Their preparation required Him to cleanse them of their sins and sanctify them.

*Jesus’ actions are beyond our understanding*

* Let us trust God in all these things. Let us trust in His love: He only wants our salvation. Let us trust in His justice: He is perfect and never makes mistakes. Let us trust in His power: it is often fulfilled in weakness.

*The ministering of Jesus is an example for us*

*By washing the feet of His disciples, Jesus set an example for us to follow. The good He does for us enables us to do good to others. In particular, God expects us to contribute to the salvation of our neighbour. For example, Jesus asks us to forgive others.

■ Jesus purifies us so that we may enter the kingdom of God.
■ We do not always understand His actions, but we trust Him.
■ We follow Christ’s example by doing good to others and forgiving them.

On Sunday, 11th January 2026, the Apostle Matekenya conducted a divine service in Epworth Harare East District.

Text word: Luke 2:49 excerpt
Message: In communion with the Father

- Even as a child, Jesus revealed a unique understanding of Himself.
- At the age of twelve, he Himself professed His divine identity.

In His Father’s house
- The house represents the space of God’s presence.
- Fellowship and mission: the community of believers model their lives on the Father.
-Believers find the Father in the place where His word comes to life: where believers share their faith in fellowship and where people love one another.
- The Father’s house is also an image of a spiritual home: a place where people are seen, loved, and accepted.

Daily life
- Be about our Father’s business and stay in His house like Jesus.
- Engage in fellowship like Jesus.
- Seeking dialogue with other believers.
- Studying the Scriptures, asking questions, and sharing with others.
- Pass on the message as Jesus did.
- Helping others to discover the experience of God’s presence.
