The mass wedding centering on our Unification Church is not just limited to our own church's marriage ceremony. It is the formula through which the whole of humankind will move. We must know this clearly. Then, what is the fundamental reason for receiving the Blessing? It is because our ancestors were fallen. If the human ancestors had not fallen, this work of the Blessing would not be happening. But because of the fall, there is the course of restoration remaining in order to go back to God's sovereignty, and we must climb this way. This explains the purpose for religion and the goal of history.
Ultimately, what is the final purpose? It is to have the true family. This is the ultimate purpose for fallen humankind to discover. In order to establish the true family, true people must come. Among the true people, true man must appear first. By doing that, the true man finds the true woman and they have the holy wedding centering on God, and finally the true family is started.
Due to the human fall, humankind was unable to have that origin. Therefore we must deny all the families which existed until today, according to God's providential will centering on the family foundation, and we must go over the existing family standard. If someone cannot go over this standard, the fallen world cannot return to the original world. This is the principled interpretation. Fallen man and woman, no matter who they might be, cannot stand in front of God without going through this conditional formula. We must understand this.

Dr. Jan Figel, former EU Special Envoy for Freedom of Religion or Belief, has formally nominated Dr. Hak Ja Han of the Family Federation (FFWPU) for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize.

In his nomination letter, Figel cited the following achievements:

1. Interfaith cooperation: Appointed thousands of Peace Ambassadors worldwide to bridge religious divides

2. Korean Peninsula peace: Organized Rally of Hope summits promoting peaceful reunification

Han Hak-ja, President of the Family Federation for World Peace and Reunification (Unification Church), has been nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize.

According to the Family Federation, Dr. Jan Figel, former Slovak Minister of Transport and member of the European Commission, officially nominated President Han on March 30 for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize in the category of "Peace and Fraternity among Nations."

In her letter of recommendation, Dr. Figel stated: “President Han has dedicated her life to world peace, interfaith dialogue, and family harmony, which forms the foundation of a peaceful society.” He added: “Since the death of her husband, President Sun Myung Moon, she has expanded their shared vision worldwide through various organizations such as the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) and the Women’s Federation for World Peace (WFWP).”

Through God's Dispensation for Restoration, the spirituality and intellect of fallen people have gradually developed. As man's spiritual and intellectual levels have developed in each age, God has been able to revise accordingly the means of educating people and relating to them. for example, in Abraham's time, when man's spirituality and intellect were extremely low, God had to have people come closer to him through the offering of sacrifices. The people of that time were too immature to respond to laws and commandments. Several hundred years later, at the time of Moses, God carried out the dispensation through the Law. At Jesus' time, instead of repeating the same dispensation through laws or commandments, God worked in a new way to bring the people closer to him, by giving the Gospel, on a level appropriate for the spirituality of the people of that age.

True Parents' Message, "God created Adam and Eve, first, in order to have a body, and second, in order to perfect love. Had Adam and Eve reached maturity and become a physical incarnation of love by becoming one, God would have come into them. He would then have been the loving Parent of humankind. Is the "Unification Church" a cult?
● No, the “Unification Church” is not a cult. FFWPU is a duly registered religious nonprofit organization. We began as a new religious movement that expanded rapidly and called for radical change, and whose members lived their beliefs. The establishment felt threatened and responded by labeling it a “cult.” Our organization strives to promote world peace and unity as one family under God.

What is the Marriage Blessing?
● The Marriage Blessing is the marriage ceremony bestowed by the True Parents, an affectionate term for Father and Mother Moon. Similar to other marriage traditions, it features vows, and the exchange of rings, and is legally recognized when administered by a registered officiant. However, the Blessing is unique in that its main purpose is not simply to bring a man and a woman together who love each other, but to restore marriage and family life to the way God intended it to be.

● Unificationists believe that God had a beautiful ideal for marriage and family, something that we yearn for but often do not experience. We believe that since the beginning of human history, God wanted each of us to experience living in love, but we have been trapped by the sins of our ancestors. The moment the government infringes on this realm, the principles of Korean democracy begin to waver. This measure is also receiving international criticism as an excessive exercise of state power.
