[GRACE AND MERCY]
——————————————————
Grace and mercy according to the Bible explained.
Genesis 6:8 The term grace here is being used at a time when destruction was to befall man. 'But Noah found grace...' this showing that grace was an instrument of salvation unto Noah. Titus 2:11 is quite specific on the work that grace entails, which is the work of salvation from a destruction that is coming ahead of this dying world, not of the flood as in Noah's day but from the destruction by fire this time.
Peter described it as the fervent heat. "But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up." (2 Peter 3:10).
This shows that the work of grace goes beyond that of just being able to live through a day or securing material possession of this world which shall not be spared at the destruction that's coming. 2Peter 3:5,6,7
1Pet 1:10 speaks of how the prophets searched of this grace that came unto us, the token of which was our Saviour Jesus Christ - John 3:16, who gave to us such an unmerited favour Ephesians 2:8
The religious world have used grace and mercy interchangeably as if they meant the same, which is not supported by scripture in any way though the failed theologians want to force it to be so.
Titus 1:4 'Grace, mercy and peace...' this shows us how the apostle Paul makes mention of grace and mercy in one sentence clarifying that the 2 are different. Exodus 33:19, 34:6 Again here in Exodus the terms gracious and merciful are found being used together in one verse of scripture.
11 Timothy 1:2 , 1Timothy 1:2
Mercy is an instrument used to help out someone or something in a sorry or troubled state or rather in need of help, be it a creature or a human being, without necessarily leading such to a salvation of the soul.
Matthew 5:45 It is by the mercies of God that everyone receiveth rain and sunshine whether just or unjust, evil or good.
Lamentations 3:22,32 It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.
We need His mercy to get by each and everyday but it is by His grace that we are saved from a path of destruction and placed on a path to life, the narrow way. And by grace are we taught how to continue therein till our final salvation at the return of our Lord -
2 Corinthians 1:9 But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead: 1:10 Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that He will yet deliver us. (Titus 2:12).
