Enemies are as good as friends...!

Beloved, the title before us challenges our emotions and our theology: Enemies are as good as friends.

At first hearing, it feels unsettling. Our natural instinct resists it. We cherish friends because they affirm us, defend us, and comfort us. But enemies wound us.

They misunderstand us. They oppose us.
Yet the Kingdom of God is not governed by instinct it is governed by revelation.

In the Sermon on the Mount, recorded in the Gospel of Matthew, our Lord does not merely suggest loving enemies; He commands it.

This command is not sentimental, it is profoundly theological. It reveals the very nature of God.

“For he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good…” Gospel of Matthew 5:45
God’s common grace extends even to those who oppose Him. If we are His children, we must reflect His character.

1. Enemies Reveal Our True Spiritual Condition

Friends often see our virtues; enemies expose our hidden weaknesses.
It is easy to speak gently when honored. It is far more difficult when criticized.

Enemies become instruments of spiritual diagnosis. Just as in medical science a stress test reveals the condition of the heart, opposition reveals the condition of our spiritual heart.

“As iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.” Book of Proverbs 27:17
Sharpening requires friction. Friction is uncomfortable yet necessary.
Consider David and Saul in the First Book of Samuel. Saul pursued David unjustly. David had opportunity for revenge but refused. Why? Because reverence for God restrained him. Saul revealed David’s integrity.

Opposition uncovered obedience.
Beloved, your enemies may be revealing what still needs sanctification within you.

2. Enemies Contribute to Our Spiritual Growth. From a biological perspective, muscles grow under resistance. Without resistance, there is a trophy. In much the same way, faith develops under pressure.

The Apostle James writes:
“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.” Epistle of James 1:2–3, Trials are not arbitrary; they are formative.

Look at Joseph in the Book of Genesis. Betrayed by his brothers, falsely accused, imprisoned yet through these adversities God positioned him to preserve nations.
He later declared:
“But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good…” Book of Genesis 50:20
What appeared destructive was in fact providential.

Theologically, this is the doctrine of divine sovereignty: God governs even hostile human actions for redemptive purposes.

3. Enemies Drive Us Into Deeper Communion with God. Comfort can sometimes produce complacency. Opposition produces prayer.
When we are surrounded by applause, we may lean on human affirmation. When surrounded by criticism, we lean into God.

“We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed… Persecuted, but not forsaken…” Second Epistle to the Corinthians 4:8–9
Paul the Apostle wrote profound theological truths while imprisoned. In confinement, revelation flowed.

Even neuroscience tells us that adversity often deepens resilience and cognitive restructuring. Spiritually speaking, trials recalibrate our dependence from self to God.
Your enemies may be the reason your prayer life intensifies. They may be the catalyst that pushes you from casual faith to consecrated faith.

4. Loving Enemies Reflects the Nature of God
Christian theology centers on imitatio Dei, the imitation of God.
“Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.” Epistle to the Romans 12:21
To love an enemy is not weakness; it is Christlikeness.

Forgiveness interrupts the natural cycle of retaliation. In psychology, retaliation perpetuates cycles of aggression. In the Gospel, grace disrupts that cycle.
When you forgive:
You refuse bitterness.
You surrender vengeance to God.
You embody divine mercy.

“Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves… for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.” Epistle to the Romans 12:19
Enemies give us the sacred opportunity to demonstrate supernatural love.

5. The Cross: The Supreme Example
The ultimate theological demonstration is found in Jesus Christ.
Betrayed, mocked, scourged, crucified yet He prayed:
“Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.” Gospel of Luke 23:34
Without enemies, there would be no crucifixion.
Without crucifixion, no atonement.

Without atonement, no reconciliation with God. In what appeared to be cosmic injustice, God accomplished cosmic redemption. The cross transforms our understanding of enemies. They are not beyond grace; they are often instruments within God’s redemptive plan.

Beloved, this truth does not deny pain. Enemies hurt. Betrayal wounds. Opposition exhausts.
But theology teaches us that God wastes nothing.
Friends encourage you.
Enemies refine you.
Friends affirm your calling.
Enemies test your calling.
Friends comfort you in celebration.
Enemies deepen you in consecration.
Perhaps today God is not asking you to remove your enemies but to recognize His hand even through them.

May we have the humility to learn,
The grace to forgive,
And the faith to trust divine providence.
For in God’s mysterious wisdom,

Enemies too are servants of our sanctification.

*"Dear brothers and sisters.

As we observe Valentine's Day,

Let's shift our focus to the One who is the source of all love. God is love (1 John 4:8), and His love is the foundation of our relationships. Let this day be a reminder to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength (Mark 12:30), and to demonstrate His love to those around us.

May our words, actions, and gestures reflect God's kindness, compassion, and generosity. Let's celebrate love in all its forms, from the intimacy of marriage to the kindness of strangers. And let's remember, true love is patient, kind, and selfless (1 Corinthians 13:4-7).

As we go about our day, may we be vessels of God's love, spreading joy, hope, and peace to a world in need. "*

😔 WEARY IN LEADERSHIP 🌈

The Unspoken Pains of a Wounded Leader

Many admire the pulpit 🎤, but few see the wounds behind it 💉. The truth is, many pastors are wounded internally 💔, yet they continue to lead, preach, teach, counsel, and minister with grace.

- Wounded, yet leading 💪
- Wounded, yet preaching 🔊
- Wounded, yet teaching 📚
- Wounded, yet counselling 🤝
- Wounded, yet ministering 🙏
- Wounded, yet smiling 😔
- Wounded, yet inspiring hope 🌟

The weight of leadership is heavy 🛠️. Pastors carry burdens, secrets, and expectations 🏋️‍♂️.
- "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." (Psalm 147:3)
- "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." (2 Cor 12:9)

A plea to the congregation:
- Pray for your pastor 🙏
- Support them emotionally 🤗
- Offer practical help 🛠️
- Don't add to their pain 🙅‍♂️

May God strengthen every wounded minister 🙏 in Jesus' name.

Finding Hope in the Wait

"Ugh, we've all been there, stuck in limbo 🌫️, unsure of what's next ⏸️. Frustration, anxiety, uncertainty 🔥, it's like life's on pause 🛑. But God's promises turn deserts 🌵 into gardens 🌼. Isaiah 40:31 says, 'Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.'

We're between a 'now' and a 'not yet' ⏳, it's a messy, beautiful in-between 🤯. David wept 🥺, waited 📆, and trusted 💪. Joseph faced betrayal 😔 but held on to hope 🌟.

What are you waiting for? 🤔 A breakthrough? 💡 Healing? 🏥 A new chapter? 📖 It's tough 😔, but hope's the anchor ⚓ that keeps us grounded. Romans 5:3-4 says, 'Suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.'

Let's fix our eyes on Jesus 🏃‍♂️, He turns waiting into worship 🙏. Psalm 130:5-6 says, 'I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope.'

Keep soldering on..!

Life gets tough when you're on a mission for God. They'll come at you from all sides - manipulating, exaggerating, and spinning tales just to bring you down 💔. Even those closest to you might be used as malicious witnesses. Being a Christian or minister doesn't exempt you from struggles; it's often just the beginning of the real battle 😤.

Don't let their comments or remarks get you down. It's jealousy and hurt from seeing you thrive. Just keep pushing forward! You're not alone - God is with you 💪.

"For everyone who wants to live a godly life in Christ Jesus will be persecuted." - 2 Timothy 3:12
"But even if you suffer for doing good, God will reward you." - 1 Peter 2:20
"Do not be afraid of them; the Lord your God himself will fight for you." - Deuteronomy 20:4

So keep doing the Lord's work - sing, teach, preach, heal, and deliver. You're making a difference 🌟.

Solder on.!

Sermon: The Fake Book Life.

Scripture: Psalms 34:18

"My friends, let's talk about the illusion of social media. It's a curated highlight reel, ain't nobody posting about their struggles, their doubts, their tears 🙏. They're posting the crown moments, the victories, the filtered smiles. But let me tell you, behind every perfect post, there's a real person dealing with real pain.

You're not alone in this. We all compare our insides to someone else's outs, and trust me, it's a trap 😊. You're living reality, they're living a facade. The Bible says in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves the crushed in spirit."

Don't measure your worth by someone else's feed. You are seen, you are heard, and you are loved by God, not by the likes or the followers 📱.

Trust God, not the noise. Live for Him, not for people, 'cause at the end of the day, nobody cares about your Instagram game, but God cares about your heart ❤️.

You are not a project, you are a masterpiece in progress. Your life is not a highlight reel, it's a journey. And in this journey, you're not alone. God is with you, in the ups and downs, in the joys and the tears 🙏.

So, let's break the chains of comparison. Let's be real, let's be raw, let's be authentic. Let's live for God, not for the gram 😊. "

Sermonn: Living for the Audience of One

Scriptures: Galatians 1:10, Psalms 56:11, Romans 8:38-29, Psalms 34:18,

We've got a problem, folks. We're living for the wrong crowd.

We're trying to please people, seeking validation from those who don't last. But here's the thing: people will let you down. They'll judge you, they'll criticize you, and they'll leave you. But God? He's the One who's always got your back.

Don't leave a life to please people, but God. Think about it. When you're trying to please everyone, you'll lose yourself in the process. You'll compromise your values, your faith, and your relationship with God. But when you live for God, you'll find true freedom.

Galatians 1:10 says, "For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ."

Don't be scared of people, but God. Fear is a powerful motivator, but it shouldn't be the fear of what people think. It should be the fear of disappointing God. Psalm 56:11 says, "In God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?"

Don't require validation from people, but God. You don't need anyone's stamp of approval to be loved, to be valued, or to be enough. God's got that for you. Romans 8:38-39 says, "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

And when you mess up - because let's be real, we all do - don't run from God, run to God. He's the One who'll pick you up, dust you off, and restore you. Psalm 34:18 says, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves the crushed in spirit."

So, here's the deal. Live for God. Fear God. Seek validation from God. And when you mess up, run to God. He's waiting for you with open arms.

Let's pray. Father, help us to live for You, to fear You, and to seek validation from You alone. Amen 😊"

Minister : Pastor Kanda
Sermon: From Ashes to Beauty: Finding Hope in Humiliation"
Scriptures : Isaiah 61:1-3, Psalm 34:18

Oh, the weight of humiliation. It's a crushing feeling, isn't it? Like you're drowning in shame, rejection, or failure. Your heart is heavy, your soul is weary, and it feels like God is far away. But, friend, I'm here to tell you: God sees you. He hears your cries, He feels your pain, and He's got you.

You've been there - rejected, overlooked, or belittled. Maybe it's a failed relationship, a lost job, or a painful memory that still stings. It's like your dignity has been stripped, and you're left feeling broken, worthless, and alone. But God says, "No, you're not alone. I'm with you."

God is near to the brokenhearted, and He saves the crushed in spirit.
He binds up the wounds: Isaiah 61:1. Jesus came to heal the brokenhearted, to set the captives free, and to bring recovery of sight to the blind. He gives beauty for ashes: Isaiah 61:3. God takes our mess, our shame, and our humiliation, and He turns it into a message of hope, redemption, and beauty.

You see, God's ways are not our ways. He uses the foolish things of the world to shame the wise (1 Corinthians 1:27). He takes our weaknesses, our failures, and our humiliations, and He uses them to demonstrate His strength, His power, and His love (2 Corinthians 12:9-10). You're not a mistake, you're not a failure, you're a masterpiece, a work in progress, being transformed into the image of Christ (Romans 8:28-30).

1. God is near: You aren't alone (Psalm 34:18).
2. He's working all things out: Romans 8:28. God is working everything out for your good, even when you can't see it.
3. Beauty is coming: Your story isn't over (Isaiah 61:3). God is turning your ashes into beauty, your mourning into dancing, and your shame into praise (Psalm 30:11-12).

I know it's hard right now. I know it hurts. But, friend, don't give up. Don't give in to the shame, the guilt, or the condemnation. Look to Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2). He understands your pain, He bears your burdens, and He gives you hope.

Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted, and saves the crushed in spirit."

You are seen, loved, and valued. God takes your humiliation and turns it into a testimony of His goodness. Rise up, dear one. Beauty is coming. You are not forgotten, you are not forsaken, you are not alone. God is with you, and He will see you through.

Minister: Pastor Kanda

Sermon: Valued in the Eyes of God.

Scripture: Isaiah 43:4, "

Dear brothers and sisters,

Today, I want to speak to those who feel rejected, despised, belittled, and troubled. You might feel like you're walking in darkness, like you're not good enough, or like nobody sees you.

But God sees you. He sees the pain you're carrying, the weight on your shoulders, and the tears you've cried in secret. And He says, "You are valued. You are loved. You are enough."

The Bible says in Isaiah 43:4, "You are precious and honored in my sight, and I love you."

You're not a mistake. You're not a failure. You're a masterpiece, crafted by the hands of God. Your worth isn't defined by what others say or do; it's defined by what God says about you.

So hold your head up, dear one. You're seen, you're heard, and you're loved. Keep going, keep trusting, and know that God is with you.

May these words bring comfort to your hearts. May you feel God's love wash over you. And may you walk in the confidence of being loved, accepted, and valued. Amen 😊.
