👨Fathers Day Service 👔 || 21st June 2026
Theme: The model man with faith and patience
Scripture: Hebrews 6:12-14
By Prophet Leo Magwaragwara
Yesterday’s service had a warm, jovial mood as we celebrated Father’s Day. The sanctuary was alive - fathers dancing during praise and worship, smiling and holding the small parcels they received as gifts. It felt like heaven was clapping for them. There was honor, laughter, and gratitude in the air. That atmosphere made everyone proud to be part of a church that celebrates men who carry weight daily.
Prophet Leo taught on Hebrews 6:12-14 and broke it down simply. He said we must not be sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. God swore to bless and multiply Abraham because Abraham believed and waited without giving up. The point was clear - inheritance is not instant. Fathers, keep believing even when you do not see results yet. What God promised you, He will deliver for your children too if you stay consistent.
The sub-theme was _Inheritance of fathers to their children_. Prophet Leo taught that houses and riches are inherited from parents, so do not be lazy. Work hard and plan to leave something tangible. But real inheritance is also culture and character, because charity begins at home. Teach your children good values so they can emulate them. A father’s job is to provide, protect, and pray. Obey God like Noah, and your whole household will be saved. Remember obedience positions the whole household for blessings. Take dominion as Genesis 1:28 says; pray for the prophecy upon your life until it manifests, and exhibit the strength within you like Gideon, Judges 6:1. Emulate Joshua too and be vigilant and strong, especially as breadwinners who carry the hopes of those who look up to you.
He closed with Hebrews 11:6 - God values our faith more than the words we speak. Raise your faith and wait on the Lord with patience, and every promise will come to pass just as it did with Abraham. Fathers were charged to leave a legacy that goes beyond money. Leave faith, obedience, prayer, and good culture. Remember, as a father, you are both the source and the solution in your home. Today's service was not just a celebration; it was a commissioning too. Every father left being reminded that they carry the future of their children in their hands.
