A profound declaration has set the course for a landmark year at Faith Ministries City Church.
Pastor Shiku unveiled the global theme for 2026 this Sunday, the 26th of October, marking the 50th Anniversary of Faith Ministries Church worldwide. The theme, "The Year of Jubilee: Advancing to Possess," is a powerful call to action rooted in the scriptures of Luke 4:18-19 and Joshua 18:3.
"This shall be unto us, O God, according to your Word and promises," proclaimed Pastor Shiku, igniting a palpable sense of destiny within the congregation.
The theme stands on three unshakable pillars. First, it is a divine Year of Celebration. A year of joy, hope, and encouragement where good news is preached to the poor and captives are set free, echoing the promises of Isaiah 61:1-4. It is a season dedicated to thanksgiving, goodwill, healing, and liberty.
Second, it is a clarion call to focused pressing and possessing. There is a promised inheritance, deliberately set aside for the people of God, and this Jubilee year demands we advance with purpose to claim it. We are called to inspect our spiritual walls, as Nehemiah did, and prepare for new territory.
Third, it is a summons to faithful service. This Jubilee is a time of restoration, regeneration, and recovery to the fullest extent. It is a year for overcoming sin, recommitting to the Lord, and building strong, positive relationships within our communities.
"It is a year of establishment," declared Pastor Shiku, pointing to Jeremiah 17:7-8. A year for God's people to be firmly planted, flourishing, and advancing with the good news.
The powerful service was charged with an atmosphere of victory, with the praise and worship team echoing the pastor's declarations. As Faith Ministries enters its 50th year, the entire church is poised for a season of unprecedented restoration and possession. The Jubilee has been declared. The advance begins now.
