As June commences, let us lift in prayer all the young people travelling to different places to preach the Word of God. May God guide their journeys, protect them from harm, strengthen their faith, and use them as vessels of hope and transformation. May their words touch hearts, bring souls closer to Christ, and spread love, peace, and salvation wherever they go. We pray for wisdom, courage, unity, and good health upon each one of them. May the Lord go before them and remain with them throughout this mission. Amen.

How can you truly know yourself when you keep changing faces depending on who is around you?

At church you act holy.
With certain friends you become someone else.
At home another version appears.
At school or work another mask again.

“Kana uri apa unoita izvi, kana uri apo unoita izvo.” 😔

And slowly you start losing the sense of who you really are.

After a while, unototanga kusara wava kuzvibvunza kuti “ndimbori ani ko inini?” because every version was built to please someone not to be real.

Thats the danger Jesus warns us about living for approval instead of truth.

The Bible says:
“Man looks at the outward appearance but the Lord looks at the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7

That means people only see your outside version. They clap for how you act how you speak how you present yourself. But God is not limited to what people see. He looks deeper past the smile you force, past the calm voice you use in public, past the “I’m fine” you say when you are not fine.

God sees the real you that appears when nobody is watching. The version you dont post the version you dont perform, the version you hide because it feels too exposed.

And here is the serious part: if your identity is built on people’s opinions then your value will always change. When people like you..you feel important. When they reject you you feel like you don’t exist. So you end up living like a mirror always reflecting what others want to see.

But God calls us out of that confusion into something stable.

Because in Christ you are not a performance you are known already, fully and completely, and still accepted.

Thats why Galatians 1:10 asks:
“Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings or of God?”

Its not just a question its a warning. Because you cannot build a real identity on shifting opinions. People change, crowds change, moods change.

But God does not change.

So the more you chase people’s approval the more versions of yourself you create but the more you walk with God the more you return to one real stable identity.

And that is where peace starts not when everyone accepts your performance but when God restores the real you underneath all the masks.

Prayer is not something you only do when life is falling apart. It’s not a panic button. It’s actually how you stay connected when life is going well and when it is not.

Think of it like this: a phone that is never charged will die, even if it looks fine on the outside. Ende zvonetsa ku charger phone yadzima than phone ine moto. Tht is like some of us we only “charge” spiritually when we are already at 1%. That’s why we struggle to stay steady.

The Bible says, “Pray without ceasing.” — 1 Thessalonians 5:17

That doesn’t mean you are always on your knees. It means your spirit stays in constant connection with God.

Now let’s be real with everyday life.

There are times when things are good..money is there, results are okay, life is moving. Thats when many people relax spiritually. But thats also when prayer is building protection you can’t see. Because some battles dont start when things are bad they start when things look too smooth. Hondo zhinji dzinotanga tivete.

Then there are times when everything is heavy pressure at school, home stress, temptation, confusion in relationships. Thats when prayer becomes like oxygen. You don’t debate it you just breathe. But its not good to operate in panic mode prayers

The Bible says: “Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things you do not know.” Jeremiah 33:3

That means prayer opens access. Things your mind cannot figure out God can show you in prayer. Doors you cannot push open with strength, God can open in ways you didn’t expect.

And spiritually, prayer does things you don’t always see immediately:

✨️It strengthens your spirit when you feel weak inside

✨ It brings clarity when your mind is confused

✨ It builds resistance when temptation is close

✨ It connects you to God’s direction when your own thinking is limited

Even Jesus, who was strong in every way, still prayed. The Bible says He often withdrew to pray alone .. Luke 5:16. If Jesus needed prayer then no one is above it.

Prayer is not about sounding perfect. Sometimes it’s just “God help me” in your head when you are walking alone. Sometimes it’s silence. Sometimes its words. But it is always connection.

So don’t treat prayer like it’s only for weak moments.

Prayer is what keeps you strong before weakness even arrives.

You know what destroys many young people?

Not the fall itself.

It’s the voice that comes after the fall.

Because after messing up, suddenly your mind starts saying:
“Look at you.”
“You call yourself a Christian?”
“You’ve ruined everything now.”

And slowly a person stops praying, stops reading the Word, starts avoiding church people… not because they hate God, but because shame makes them hide.

It’s like someone wearing fresh white shoes walking through muddy streets. One bad step and mud splashes everywhere. Now imagine throwing the whole shoe away just because it got dirty once. That makes no sense.

The Bible says:
“Though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again.” Proverbs 24:16

Notice it didn’t say “if.”
It said “though.”

Meaning falling is not always the end of the story.

Peter denied Jesus three times and still became strong again.
David fell badly and still cried back to God.
The enemy wants you to think one mistake has permanently changed your identity.

But a sheep that falls in mud is still a sheep.

Get up again.
Not tomorrow.
Not when you “feel holy again.”

Now.
