Verse: Deotronomy 8

NOTES:

-Once a person becomes a Christian, there is a promise.

-Before enjoying the promise, you go through a journey of tests just like the Israelites who travelled for 40 years in the wilderness before entering Canaan which was the promise

-There is a need for careful obedience when moving towards Canaan (promise). You need to obey during preparation for the promise because if you fail to obey you will fail in Canaan.

-If you fail to obey, you will live in the promise but with a lifestyle as if you are still in captivity (Living in Canaan with a mindset as if you are still in Egypt)

-Sometimes you can experience bad events as test from God to prepare you for Canaan.

-If you enter the promise phase but empty in word, you will not survive because a Christian can't survive by food only

-You need the word that comes out of God

-In the promised land or phase, there are seasons which you need to understand and plan properly for off season

-When God hears your prayer, he does not spoon feed. God never provides a final product, He gives you access to a good environment to propser e.g land with fertile soils/mining spaces that you have to work on for final product, he wants you to work

-Its not sufficient to be in Canaan, its sufficient to have impact in Canaan, without impact, you suffer

-Pray for a mindset to do the correct thing in the correct environment

-Entering is not enough but doing what you are supposed to do in the promised land

-When in the promised land, be scared to forget where you were before deliverance

-You must always submit to God who raised you
