IS YOUR HEART PURE?

Matthew 5:8 says, “Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see God.” This means that in order for you to meet and see God, your heart must be pure because a filthy and dirty heart can never attract Him.

What are the things that can make your heart filthy or dirty? Hard feelings like grudges, unforgiveness, jealousy and envy- such defile the heart and rob one of their ability to make successful prayers. They are likened to mud, dragging your prayers and hindering them from reaching God. Although the reality of life is that one cannot live without enemies, it is required that you keep your heart pure amidst critics, jealousy, envy and all hard feelings.

After all, the success of your prayers and spirituality as a whole depends entirely on the purity of your heart. I mean, for you to call on the name of Jesus and there be a corresponding result, be it healing, deliverance or rescue - your heart must be pure.
