Here l am sent me.

Meet Ellen Harmon, a young girl from Gorham, Maine, whose life changed in one moment when a thrown rock crushed her face and left her bedridden for years.

During those long days of recovery she turned to God. She whispered, “Jesus is my best friend … I want to live for Him.”

In 1840, at age 12, she heard the message of Christ’s soon coming and believed it. When that hope disappointed many, Ellen held on. Then at 17 God gave her a special vision.

She said, “Lord, I can’t do this! Please choose someone stronger.” But God’s reply: “Tell the people what I show you.”

Ellen didn’t start out powerful or proud. She was weak in body, young in years, but willing in heart. From her obedience came thousands of pages of God’s messages focusing on health, family, education, mission, and always pointing to Christ.

Her story reminds us that God doesn’t call the capable, He enables the called. Whether you feel small, broken, too young or too inexperienced, if you love Jesus and are willing to follow, He can use your story too.
