“How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?” (Luke 1:34, NIV)

20 December 2023

Who’s Your Source?

In the above scripture the angel told Mary she would conceive and give birth to Jesus, the Messiah, without knowing a man. He was talking about the physical, but this has meaning for us as well.

God was showing us that you’re not dependent on people. What you’re believing for can happen without getting your manager at work to like you or talking your friend into giving you a good break. You don’t need who you think you need.

People are not your source; God is your source. When it’s your time, when God shows up in His power, nothing can stand in His way. Chains will break, doors will open, and opportunity will come. It can happen without a bank, without the treatment, without the experience, without the resources, without the connections. God is about to surprise you.

As with Mary, it’s going to be something you’ve never seen. Something that’s never happened in your family. Something that defies the odds, that catapults you into your destiny. Just stay focused on your true source.

Confession:
“Father, thank You that You are my provider, the source of everything good in my life. Thank You that I am not dependent upon other people, but it is Your favor that brings me the right people and the right connections. I will stay focused on You, knowing You make happen what no person can make happen. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

"In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer (take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted)! For I have overcome the world. (I have derived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.)" John 16:33

Dealing With Mental Health Issues “A Stress Free Life Is Possible”

09 December 2023

Stress is on the rise in today's world. The good news is that, although we Christians may be in the world, we are not of the world (John 17:11-14). We do not have to operate on the world's system—thinking, talking, or acting like the world—and we shouldn't. In fact, our attitude and approach toward the situations of life should be entirely different from the world's.

The source of our stress is not really difficulties, circumstances, and situations, but our attitude and approach toward them.

Jesus said that difficulties will come our way, but they do not have to upset us. We don't have to accept the stress being offered us. We have the privilege of approaching the challenges of everyday life in a calm, peaceful manner.

I believe we can live stress free in a stressful world, but it will require some decisions—possibly some radical decisions.

Allow God's spirit to lead you out of a stressful lifestyle into one of peace and joy. Change your attitude and approach, and God will change your circumstance in due time.

Confession:
I choose to receive God's grace today to help me live stress free even in the midst of a stressful world." help me live stress free even in the midst of a stressful world."

“All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the LORD saves; for the battle is the LORD’s, and he will give all of you into our hands.”
1 Samuel 17:47, NIV

Declare Victory

06 December 2023

When David went out to face Goliath, before he slung that rock, he got his sword out. Not a physical sword, but the sword of the Spirit, the Word of God. He looked at Goliath and said, “This day I will prove to everyone here that the battle is the Lord, that the victory is not by sword or spear.”

In doing that, He declared victory. He declared God’s favor. He could have said, “God, why is this giant in my path? He’s twice my size. I don’t have the training in warfare. This is not a fair fight.” If David would have talked like that, you wouldn’t be reading about him today. David knew how to swing his sword. Before he slung that rock, he had already defeated Goliath.

Here’s the point: If you swing your sword, God will direct the rock. If you declare victory, He’ll bring down the giants. Every day you need to declare victory over what opposes you, declare your purpose and destiny. Don’t be passive. God has the favor, the healing, the abundance.

Confession:

“Father, thank You that no matter what I face, no matter how big it looks, that the battle belongs to You and not to me. Help me use my words to declare victory. I believe that as I speak words of faith out loud that I will see You release Your promises in my life. In Jesus’ Name, Amen

Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.

Live Life From The INSIDE OUT!!

04 December 2023

Popcorn is amazing. Not only does it taste great, it imitates life. Inside every kernel is moisture. When that moisture is heated, it turns into steam. The steam causes the outer shell to explode, and delicious popcorn appears.

In many ways, we are each like that small kernel. With hard outer shells but with souls that can be filled with the fire of God’s Spirit, we can experience a breakthrough. We discover that, like the kernel of corn, life is best lived inside out. When a kernel pops, the outside shell is broken, and what was inside the kernel emerges.

Just as a bag of kernels is significantly heavier than the same bag filled with popcorn, when we live life inside out, we experience freedom. And like the popped kernel, we feel as light as feathers. The weight of the world is lifted.

Living inside out, not holding onto the things that weigh us down, frees us to be who we were created to be. Our outer shell will not remain, but our inner Spirit-filled soul will live eternally.

Living life inside out is amazing, yet so simple even a kernel of corn can do it.

FAITH = Acting on God's Word

"But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only" (James 1:22).

Some people have such a struggle. They say they are trying to get faith, or else they are trying to believe. But all that is necessary is just to act on what God says.

I use the phrase "acting on God's Word" rather than "have faith" or "believe," because that's exactly what faith is!

Someone once asked Raymond T. Richey, a man mightily used of God in the healing ministry, "What is faith?"

Richey replied, "Faith is just acting on God's Word."

Smith Wigglesworth would say, "Faith is an act."

Kenneth Hagin would say, “Faith is when you have corresponding actions to what you are believing God for.”

That's what faith is - acting on God's Word.

Confession: I am a doer of the Word. I gain knowledge of God's Word. I hear His Word. Then I act accordingly. I act on God's Word!

Forgiveness and Healing - IT’S A PACKAGE DEAL!

Scriptures from Genesis to Revelation show that both forgiveness and healing were provided on the Cross. These Scriptures show that when you are forgiven, you can be healed as well, and when you are healed, you can also be forgiven.

Forgiveness and healing go hand in hand and cannot be separated. We are made righteous through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, and we are healed through the stripes He bore.

You may ask, "But what if I'm sick today as a result of living in sin in the past?" Even if sin opened the door to sickness, you can be forgiven and healed at the same time because of God's love and mercy.

So don't take one part of Jesus' redemptive work and leave the other. If one part of God's plan of redemption is for today, then all of it is for today. Jesus' body was broken for you as surely as His blood was shed for you. You have as much right to be healed as you do to be saved and forgiven from sin.

IT’S A PACKAGE DEAL and it all belongs to you in Christ Jesus!

Confession:
When I received Jesus as my Savior, I also received Him as my healer. I meditate on all of His benefits. His blood was shed for my sins, and His body was broken for my healing.

Amen

HAVE CONFIDENCE IN THE UNMERITED FAVOR OF JESUS

There is a beautiful story of a Moabite woman named Ruth in the Bible. In the natural, Ruth had everything against her. She was a poor widow, and she was a Moabitess, a Gentile in the Jewish nation of Israel. But even after her husband died, Ruth remained with her mother-in-law Naomi. She left her family to follow Naomi back to Bethlehem, and made Naomi’s God—the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—her God.

Now, because of their poverty, Naomi and Ruth could not afford to buy grain, and Ruth had to go out to the field to perform the menial task of gleaning whatever the reapers had left behind. I want you to notice that Ruth was depending on the Lord’s favor for she said to Naomi, “Please let me go to the field, and glean heads of grain after him in whose sight I may find favor” (Ruth 2:2). Ruth was confident that God would give her favor even though she was a foreigner and had no connections with anyone in the field. She didn't even know whose part of the field she would be able to glean in.

Look at the Bible's account of what happened next: “And she went, and came, and gleaned in the field after the reapers: and her hap was to light on a part of the field belonging unto Boaz, who was of the kindred of Elimelech.” Of all the spots in the field that Ruth could have wandered into, her “hap” was to come to the part of the field that belonged to Boaz, who was a man of great wealth, and who also happened to be Naomi’s relative. “Hap” is an old English word and it means “to happen” to be at the right place. However, in the original Hebrew text, the root of this word is the word qarah, which means right happening!

When Ruth trusted in God’s unmerited favor, she qarah-ed or happened to come to the part of the field that belonged to Boaz. To cut a long story short, Boaz saw Ruth, fell in love with her and married her. Ruth was possibly at the lowest point of her life just before she met Boaz. All the natural factors were against her. But because she put her trust in the Lord, who put her at the right place at the right time, her situation was turned around completely. In fact, she became one of the few woman to be mentioned in the genealogy of Jesus in Matthew 1:5, which states that “Boaz begot Obed by Ruth.” What an honor to be included in the genealogy of Jesus Christ. Talk about being at the right place at the right time!

My friend, no matter what natural circumstances may be against you today, have confidence in the unmerited favor of Jesus and He will give you what I call “qarah success.” He will cause you to be positioned at the right place at the right time to experience His protection and success in your relationships, career, and finances.

*"For we who have believed do enter that rest..."*
(Hebrews 4:3, NKJV)

*Enter His Rest*

God promises that there are ```"set times"``` in our future to bring His promises to pass in our lives, but He doesn’t tell us when they will be. Your set time may be tomorrow morning at 9:47. You’ll get the phone call you’ve been waiting for. Your set time may be two years from now. You’ll get a good break that will thrust you to a new level. My question is, ```“Do you trust God enough to believe that your set times are coming?”```

Are you willing to wait with a good attitude? Are you willing to get a new perspective? Remember, that set time is already in your future. Don’t let the negative thoughts talk you out of it. The way you know that you’re really believing is when you have rest on the inside. You’re at peace. You know the answer is on the way. You trust that God is working things out. Today, put your faith and trust in Him and enter into rest. Know that He is good and He is for you! Your set time of favor is on the way!

*Declaration Of Faith:*
```"Father, today I choose to enter into rest. I choose to trust You, I choose to put my faith and hope in You knowing that You are good and that You have good things in store for my future in Jesus’ name! Amen."```
*"Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus..."* (Acts 4:13, NKJV)
*Empowered By His Presence*
God wants to empower and strengthen you to overcome every obstacle in this life. He wants to give you confidence, wisdom and boldness to pursue the dreams and desires in your heart. He wants to give you supernatural insight so that you can be a witness of His goodness.
In the Scripture, Peter and John were supernaturally equipped. Everyone around them marveled at their boldness, at their ability. They knew Peter and John didn’t have any formal training. They knew there wasn’t anything special about them. This power and wisdom could have only come from one place—the presence of Jesus.
Friend, when you spend time with Jesus, people will see it. You’ll be energized by His anointing and equipped by His grace. That’s why it’s so important to take time every day to be in His presence. No matter where you are, His presence is only a prayer away. Scripture says He is near to all who call upon His name. It says that He inhabits the praises of His people. Make your relationship with Him your number one priority and be empowered by His presence each and every day!
*Declaration Of Faith:*
```"Heavenly Father, I humbly come before You giving You all that I am. I surrender every area of my life to You and invite You to have Your way in my heart. Empower me with Your love as I daily set my focus on You in Jesus’ name. Amen."```

(John 10:10 AMP)

*Choose To Enjoy Life*

A seventeenth-century monk named Brother Lawrence found the answer to enjoying the nitty-gritty of everyday life. He was a humble cook in a French monastery, but he authored a book entitled, "Practicing the Presence of God." In it he explained how he was able to turn even the most commonplace and menial tasks, such as preparing meals and washing dishes, into acts of praise and communion with God. The key, he wrote, was not to change what you do, but to change your attitude toward what you do.

When you begin doing these tasks, realize that you are doing them for God. Use it as an opportunity to worship Him through acts of service. When you do, you will discover pleasure even in taking out the trash. So don't let the enemy deceive you into thinking that you must get away from your daily routine in order to truly enjoy life.

Don't wait for your next vacation—enjoy today and every day as a gift from God. Enjoy getting up and eating breakfast. Enjoy going to work. Enjoy mowing the lawn. Enjoy going to the grocery store. Enjoy washing the dishes. You have to do these things anyway—why not choose to enjoy them? When you do, you will go through life with a smile on your face, a spring in your step, and enjoy the abundant, overflowing life of victory that God has in store for you.!

*Declaration Of FAITH:*
```"God, what an amazing and blessed day this will be when I choose to tackle every task with joy and thanksgiving. As I go through my to-do list, I will do so knowing that every day is a gift and I am happy to accept it from my Father in Heaven. In Jesus' name - Amen."```
Today’s WORD
Thur 14 Nov 2019
*"If only you carefully listen to the voice of the Lord your God..."*
(Deuteronomy 15:5, AMPC)
*Choose The Voice Of Faith*
All through the day, there are always two voices competing for our attention—the voice of faith and the voice of defeat. You'll hear a voice saying, "You'll never rise any higher. You don't have what it takes. You've reached your limit." But if you listen carefully, you'll hear another voice saying, "You are well able. You can do all things through Christ. Your best days are still up ahead." You are the one who gets to choose which voice comes to life. The way you do it is by speaking it out of your own mouth. The moment you verbalize that thought, you give it the right to come to pass.
When you speak faith, you're in agreement with God. When you speak defeat, you're in agreement with the enemy. God-talk brings God on the scene. Enemy-talk brings the enemy on the scene. Why don't you get in agreement with God today? That negative voice may be louder, but you can override it. You can take away all of its power by simply choosing the voice of faith. Choose to declare favor, blessing and increase over your life so that you can walk in the victory the Lord has in store for you.
*Declaration Of Faith:*
```"Heavenly Father, today and everyday, I choose the voice of faith and victory. I declare that today I am rising up higher in You, that I can do all things because You give me strength. I bless and honor You in everything I do. In Jesus' Name. Amen."```

*"...God…calls those things which do not exist as though they did."*
(Romans 4:17, NKJV)

*Call Out Seeds of Greatness*

Very often, we see potential in other people that they haven’t see in themselves. When you speak vision into them, when you tell them what they can become, you can help set the direction for their life. Your words have the power to push people into their divine destiny. I believe that the reason some people are not living at their full potential is because no one has ever spoken faith into them. No one has taken the time to say, “Hey, you’re great at this. You have a gift here. You’re going to do something amazing!” I believe that one of our assignments in life is to call out the seeds of greatness in other people. Look around at who God has placed in your life. They’re not there by accident. Take time to study them. See what they’re good at. What are their gifts? What do they excel at? Don’t just think about it, speak vision into them. Tell them what they can become. Let your encouragement ignite the greatness on the inside. Help them rise up in confidence so they can be all God has called them to be!

*Declaration Of Faith:*
```"Father, thank You for the people You’ve placed in my life. I choose to be faithful, to speak life and call forth the greatness in them. Thank You for bringing me to new levels as I help others rise higher, too, in Jesus’ name. Amen."```
