A very good morning to y'all!!
Be encouraged this day to seek God. Seek His word for you today. Even though we have been saved, we continue to seek Him MORE.
Believers we tend to shift our priorities once we feel we are in the right books with God. The bible warns (2 Tim 3) about this change of attitude and character saying in the last days people will become lovers of themselves. Meaning they will lose their love for others. You need to be careful where your love is placed. Love has to be directed to God and all His images (other people). Make sure you don't lose love.
The moment love is shifted to things like evil, pleasure, money it tends to destroy us. The ultimate demonstration of love by God was shown by Jesus Christ on cavalry. Though we were sinners, Christ loved us and died for us. He kept pointing us to the Father and always reminded us of what is waiting for us.
All you need is in Christ, always seek Him (Matt 6:33). Never let anything separate you from His love. If God is for us, who can ever be against us? Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else?
Stay focused on His love, politics has changed people, money has too. This is happening in the body of Christ, not outside. Priorities are changing. Lets revert back to the default settings.
Scriptures:
Romans 8:35 Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? 36 (As the Scriptures say, “For your sake we are killed every day; we are being slaughtered like sheep.”[a]) 37 No, despite all these things, overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us.
2 Timothy 3:1-5 “But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.”
Hope, Watch and Wait!
Yours in Christ
