Not every way is the right way
Almost all places in the world have got signboards/arrows informing people how they should get to their intended destination.
But how many people have gotten lost because they turned the wrong way.
Even with technology, some may find themselves lost in the middle of nowhere.
It is important to have the proper direction and guidance at the start of the journey or year.
There are some who might wish to get their destination fast and end up using shortcuts, which are notoriously worse off; they may find themselves at a detour or continuous endless search.
The fact that they are alternative routes also might not mean you will get to where you want to go.
Without proper guidelines, it doesn’t matter whether you got in the wrong lane at the start or in the middle you will still not get there.
My emphasis is that it is important to find the right way at the beginning of the journey, and how do you do that?
You begin from the word of God.
Jeremiah 6:16
Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls,
One of the ways to know that you have made the wrong decision is lack of peace.
Finally as the year begins, as we continue to seek the face of the Lord regarding the rest of the year, ask the Lord to give you clarity of seeing and hearing His voice so that we will not miss His guidance.
