A Joyful Celebration of Thanksgiving and Grandparents' Day

Today, our parish family gathered in thanksgiving as we celebrated a special Holy Mass offered by Rev. Fr. Franklin Joachim Machirika, who was joined by his twin, Rev. Fr. Francelino Joachim Machirika.

We thank God for the gift of Fr. Franklin's priestly vocation and ministry, praying that the Lord continues to bless him with wisdom, strength, good health, and abundant grace as he faithfully serves God's people.

We also marked Grandparents' Day, taking time to honour and appreciate our grandparents for their unwavering love, wisdom, sacrifices, and the faith they have passed on through generations. May God richly bless all grandparents and grant eternal rest to those who have gone before us.

Today, our parish joyfully celebrated Trinity Sunday, a solemn reminder of the mystery and beauty of the Holy Trinity, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

In his homily, Father Vusumuzi Golden Moyo reminded us of the importance of seeking to understand God more deeply. He shared that when we make an effort to know God, we strengthen our relationship with Him. Understanding God is also an expression of our love for Him, because we naturally desire to know those whom we truly love.

As we reflect on the mystery of the Holy Trinity, may we continue to grow in faith, deepen our relationship with God, and open our hearts to His presence in our daily lives.
