Good Friday .
Why is is it so named when it is the day that Jesus died on the Cross
On this day we commemorate the crucial matter that Redeemer, Whom we woship, authored the Salvation of humankind.
Since man had gone into sin so much that animal sacrifice no longer had any meaning.
Let the day be an important day for all who hunger for salvation

The book of Proverbs has lots of condensed knowledge e.g. chap.1: 7- The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom.
We are not to get familiar with GOD and treat Him as if He is commonplace.
The word Holt means set apart.
Let us set ourselves apart and stay away from worldly lists and pleasures!
Let us holy as He is holy.

Mark (The Gospel according to-)
The gospels are grouped into two groups namely the first three- Matthew, Mark and Mark called the Synoptic Gospels, then the Gospel according to John.
Among the first three is the smallest in size- Mark.
It is said to be the originator of the
gospel form- ( New Bible Dictionary p, 728)
The frequent use of the word," immediately " depicts this Gospel as writing about a Man of emotion and over a life of action packed life!
Together with the other three Gospels they do show advancement of the relationship between GOD and man.

The Gospel according to Mark.
The third Gospel begins with the indicative words - " The Gospel of Jesus Christ [The Son of GOD].
Mark shows that he is relating the events enacted by the most eminent Person Who ever lived.
His version is about how the work of salvation was done. It devotes a large chunk of the book to the last week of Jesus. So it is about how the crucial work of salvation was done.
Some sources allude that since in the final days, Mark was a disciple of Peter; he must have sourced a lot of material from him.
He depicts Jesus as the Son of GOD- chap. 1:1, 3: 11, 5: 7, 13: 59.
He quotes Jesus as calling Himself as the Son of GOD- 13; 32, 14: 61- 62.
Miracles of Jesus- chapters 1; 5.
Parables of Jesus- ch. 4
Jesus' last trip to Judea ch.11.
Final controversies of the future- ch.13.
Jesus' last days- cha 14- 15.
The resurrection ch. 16.

I do recommend the reader reads it in one sitting a day for 7 days.

Good morning saints!?
Matthew 25: 23-
And his Lord said to Him,
'Well done good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make the ruler over many things; enter thou into the joy of the Lord.'
Watching over the Lord' s Kingdom matters calls for fidelity, patience and astute stewardship!
Man was put in the Garden of Eden as its steward.
This (I interpret is as a test) is active to prove our worth. For that we need lots of discernment.
Some action that may seem clever, May turn out to be too timid and cautious.
Let us come boldly into the throne of His Grace!

Proverbs 20: 1,
"Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging; and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise."
Noah, Ahasuerus, Belshazzar and Herod were disgraced by intoxicants!
Great men, brought down low!
Still people get intoxicated 'motherless'- as they say!
Beer and wine have been labelled variously as giving man cheer!
The cost though, on the individual and society is too heavy to ignore.
If you drink; don't get drunk!
Though who'd drink and stop before intoxication!?
Best to refrain.

Job 22: 21- 30.

This is a call to return to the LORD and obey His commands.
When we turn to the LORD-
# we will have peace.
# He will right up all the wrong things in our home.
# let us forsake our greed for wealth and HE will be our treasure.
# HE will enable our decrees and declarations.
# HE will make happy the sad.
# HE will be our protector.
This is extracted from Eliphaz' s speech.
Many we draw close to JEHOVAH and He will draw close to us- James 4:8.

Greetings dearly beloved in Christ?

The Great Harvest!

Luke 10:2
[2]Therefore said he unto them, The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he would send forth labourers into his harvest.

These are the days spoken of by our Lord Jesus!
It is time we rolled up our sleeves, hit the pavement running! spread the Word in season and out of season- 2 Timothy 4: 2!
No quarter given; the race to sn**ch souls from damnation is in dead earnest!
You snooze; you lose! Like the woman searching well into the night for her lost coin; we' ll go the extra length to get just that one more soul- Luke 15: 8- 9!
Plunder the route to hell and populate heaven!
We have ourselves an anointed divine task- Matt. 10: 40!
Go! Grow! and Glow!
Amen.

The Shepherd's Commitment!

John 10:13-14

[13]The hireling fleeth, because he is an hireling, and careth not for thea sheep.
[14]I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

Jesus is the loving Shepherd. This is aid in the sense that He loved humanity all the way to the Cross and much beyond!
He knows every one of His flock and they know Him.
Bring a Shepherd called for a lot of sacrifice.
There were ravenous wolf packs vicious bears and the like.
Loneliness, weather and other privations were part of it.
Despite these and other hard conditions the shepherd would stick with his flock.
We all agree humans are far more difficult flock to shepherd!
Their treatment of Him comes to mind.
He loves us inspite of all that.
He is the good Shepherd indeed.

Greetings Saints?

The Living Water!

John 4:12-13
[12]Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?
[13]Jesus answered and said unto her,
Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:
[14]But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

This explanation from our Lord Jesus must have perplexed the Samaritan woman.
We live in a world with an immense availability of Scripture, preaching, teaching etc. So Jesus's words are easy to for you and me to understand.
Back then, this must have been unknown that a living human being can be water, not only water but an everlasting thirst quencher!
Dip into the Everlasting thirst Quencher and live forever!
