Gifts of the Holy Spirit
There are many different types of gifts but they come from the same Spirit for the common good.

POWER GIFTS
These gifts may alter/suspend normal occupancies and laws on order to manifest the power of God for the common good.
These gifts should work in the church today and now. The impediment comes from us not being fully connected to God-the source and giver of all spiritual gifts.

1. MIRACLES
Mark 11:22-23
If you believe what you request to happen will happen, it will happen.

Conditions for this to work
(i) Hold no grudges or bitterness in the heart

_"A man prayed in a crusade for someone with uneven fit and they were straightened instantly according to his faith and expectation as the Lord manifested his power for the good of the man with the physical handicap."_

GIFTS OF HEALING
Jesus healed them ALL
Matt 12:15 ,Acts 10:38; Matt 12:15; John 14:12

Mark 16:16-20 those that believe will do the very things Christ did and even more. We need to take our rightful place given by Christ for the common good.
A lot of human effort is required to run systems when the power of the Holy Spirit is allowed to manifest and equip the saints for the work of God.

3. GREAT WORKS
Matt 14:19- Jesus feeding the 5000 and raising Lazarus from the dead.

Rom 8:11- the same Spirit that raises Christ from the dead will quicken is.

Acts 20:9-12- Paul raised Lydia from the dead.

Let us not doubt what can be done through the power of them.

_Sunday 9 August 2026_

Gifts of the Holy Spirit

We are to prepare ourselves even more for Christ's imminent return. We are to walk in step with the Holy Spirit as we edge closer and closer to the end of the world.

Gifts in focus
1. Vocal gifts -tongues, prophecy, interpretation of tongues
2. Power gifts -faith, healing,miracles
3. Revelation gifts - wisdom, knowledge and discernment

The gifts are given for the common good of all believers. The gifts are not there for us to command authority over others or to assume better status over others- they are for the benefit of the church.

We must not give up in the midst of challenging circumstances and situations but rather to lean even strongly on God and find new strength. God will speak to us in dark seasons and even when it comes to very critical decisions regarding our personal upkeep, businesses, families, church groups & nations.

The gifts are given to each believer according to the sovereign will of the Holy Spirit. We must not be jealous of gifts we are not given but rather focus on what we have and exercise them.
The gifts of the Holy Spirit will have more impact on the Church when those exercising them walk in purity and holiness.
