*YOUTH PRAYER AND FASTING*
We were born for such a time as this. No other time in history would have been best for the life and purpose God has planted inside each and everyone of us. For this purpose we have been charged to guard our hearts and minds with all diligence, the enemy prowls around like a lion looking for whom he may devour, the sons of inheritance must be alert.
“Behold, I have made your face strong against their faces, and your forehead strong against their foreheads. Like adamant stone, harder than flint, I have made your forehead; do not be afraid of them, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house.” Moreover He said to me: “Son of man, receive into your heart all My words that I speak to you, and hear with your ears.”
Ezekiel 3:8-10 NKJV
As we pray and fast, let's focus on the following points:
1. *Purity and Integrity*: There is pressure in the world to compromise, in church it’s easy to be decent, kind and courteous but when we are in the battle field of the world, social media is calling, fashion is calling, insolences and vices call for our participation, whether from the need to fit in or the need to fill a hole in our own lives. These are the things that contaminate the prophets of God, they compromise our purity and walk, they tear us away from the truth.Pray for a strengthened forehead, that we will not be swayed by things that look good but are against our God. May we stand firm on the Word and not compromise our purity and walk.
2. *Faithfulness in Ministry*: We are sent to a dying world, we are sent to a world that is without hope, they look for hope in dark places, we must pray that our foreheads be strengthened that we do not flow into the easy way of sin in our pursuit to try and reach the lost. That we will not look for solutions from people that are outside the body of Christ, because what association has darkness with light.
3. *Mind Renewal*: We put on the helmet of salvation, all prophecy comes to our head, our mind and our eyes, if we are to see what God is showing us, if we are to be the prophets of God, we must be sober, we must have our minds confirmed to the ways of the Lord, we must indeed fill our minds with the word, who among us can prophecy, it is he who knows the written Word of God. Pray for the zeal to know the Word, that our minds be conformed to the ways of the Lord.
4. *Empowerment by the Holy Spirit*: All gifts are facilitated by the Spirit of God, we have no business functioning in any gift without the Holy Spirit, therefore, we must be baptized in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. All that we prophecy unto others will flow from our prophecies between God and us. We must desire to be baptized, we must desire to be filled, we must desire the gifts of the Holy Spirit, pray that God touch you personally and fill you with the Holy Spirit.
5. *Love and Compassion*: We need our hearts to be open to serve and love people, God loves sinners, He loves all people, prophecy is a gift that serves people, people need to hear the Word for their lives from God, we cannot take a Word from God to people if we do not have love for the people, Pray that God should fill our hearts with love that the love of God be shed abroad in our hearts.
6. *Committing Sunday's Youth Service*: Lord, we commit Sunday's youth service into Your hands. May Your presence manifest mightily, and may Your Word be preached with power and conviction.
7. *Committing the Youths*: We commit all the youths into Your hands, Lord. May You lead us by Your Holy Spirit, guide us in Your ways, and empower us to fulfill our purpose.
8. *Committing the Preacher*: Lord, we commit Elizabeth into Your hands. May You anoint her with the Holy Spirit, give her wisdom and clarity of thought, and may Your Word be preached with authority and passion.
