Psalm 23 — King James Version

1 The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

Morning Prayer

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the gift of life and for allowing us to see this beautiful new day. Thank You for Your love, mercy, protection, and faithfulness.

Lord, guide us throughout this day. Give us wisdom in our decisions, strength in our challenges, peace in our hearts, and grace to overcome every temptation.

Bless our families, our work, our plans, and everything we put our hands to. Keep us away from danger and surround us with Your presence.

Help us to walk according to Your Word and to be a blessing to everyone we meet today. May our words, thoughts, and actions bring glory to Your name.

We commit this day into Your hands. Go before us, lead us, protect us, and never leave us.

In Jesus’ precious name, Amen. 🙏

Prayer

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for loving us even when our hearts are heavy.
Just like Paul wrote to the Corinthians “out of much affliction and anguish of heart... with many tears” 2 Corinthians 2:4, You see our pain too.

Lord Jesus,
Thank You that Your love is not empty words.
It’s a love that comforts us in affliction 2 Cor 1:3-4,
A love that forgives, restores, and makes all things new.

Holy Spirit,
Teach us to love others the way You love us.
Help us to speak truth with tears if we must, but always with the goal of healing, not hurting.
Let our lives be a portrait of Your love to the people around us.

Because You rose, we have hope.
Because You love, we can love.

In Jesus’ name,
