Mid week service notes
Rev Dr Daniel Daka
Acts 17:10–12

1.Why were the Bereans described as noble in character?
They received the Word with great eagerness and examined what Paul taught by comparing it with the Scriptures.

2.Applying this to us:
Do we respond to God’s Word in the same way as the Bereans did? Sometimes we may be eager to receive teaching only when the one preaching is powerful or charismatic. However, the Bereans did not rely on personality—they examined the Scriptures daily to confirm the truth.

3.What strategy can we use to study the Bible?
One effective approach is to start with what we receive during Sunday services and Wednesday Bible studies, then go deeper on our own during the week.

4.Why is it important to take notes?
Taking notes helps us remember, reflect, and return to what we have learned. It strengthens our understanding and supports consistent growth.

5.Studying the Bible:
Start slowly and be patient with yourself. As Bible study becomes a habit, you grow spiritually, learn more, and God’s Word becomes part of who you are.

6.What were the results of this noble character?
Many of them believed. Genuine transformation comes through the Word of God.

7.Prayer and the Word:
Prayer and the Word go hand in hand. They support each other and move together as one vital spiritual foundation.

Be blessed.

17 DECEMBER 2025 BIBLE STUDY
Midweek service led by Rev. Dr. Daniel Daka

📖 Matthew 15:21–28
"The woman"

The Canaanite woman faced _many_ obstacles to her faith:
- Silence from Jesus
- Rejection based on identity
- Harsh words and social humiliation

Yet she did not give up. She persisted, worshipped, humbled herself, and appealed to mercy, not entitlement. She understood that faith is the only currency with which we trade with God.

This woman knew that even bread crumbs are the Bread of Life as long as they come from Christ. She believed that a small portion of Jesus’ power was enough to bring total deliverance.

Her story teaches us that without faith it is impossible to please God, and that true faith is revealed through perseverance, humility, and trust in Christ alone.

Ending Thought:
Regardless of rejection, silence, and negative sentiments from people, keep pursuing. Silence from Christ does not mean the end of the road. Faith is persistence in the presence of God. 🙏
