73 Now, you must not misinterpret the Word. You say, “Well, I believe It means this.” It means just what It says. It needs no interpreter. And you must not misplace the Word. And you must not dislocate the Word. And if we would do either of these, it throws the whole Bible in a confusion and in a chaos.

74 Notice. To misinterpret Jesus, in the form of God in a man, you would make Him—you would make Him one God out of three. To misinterpret Jesus Christ being the Word, you would make Him one God out of three, or you would make Him the second Person in a Godhead. And to do that, you would mess the whole Scripture up. You’d never get nowhere. So It must not be misinterpreted.

131 Compare the two Calvarys and their accusation. Remember, “Because He made Himself God, we will not have this Man rule over us.” What was the accusation that they could find, in the council that morning, when they crucified Jesus? That, “He made Himself God.” He was God. “And He broke the Sabbath.” And He was the Lord of the Sabbath. They condemned Him because that He made Himself God. “You have no right to do this. You have no right. Our high priests, if anything is coming, come through our priests.” Now compare that with the Calvary today.

1.🌾That cycle of revival and death has never failed. All you have to do is recall this last move of God in the Spirit when men and women dressed like Christians, went to church, prayed all night, took to street corners and weren’t ashamed of the manifestations of the Spirit. They left their old dead churches and worshipped in homes or old store buildings. They had reality. But it wasn’t too long a time until they began to get enough money to build fine new churches. They put in a choir instead of singing unto God for themselves. They put gowns on the choir. They organized a movement and ran it by man. They soon began to read books that weren’t fit to read. They let down the bars and goats came in and took over. The cry of joy was gone. The freedom of the Spirit was gone. Oh, they kept on with a form; but the fire had died down and the blackness of ashes is about all that is left.

But I’m afraid we’ve left Jesus behind. We’ve got bigger churches now. We got better things. We got big fine robed choirs; we got pipe organs; we got big fine buildings, and we’ve went off without Jesus. Don’t you believe that?
When you were young you believed in Divine healing, you believed in the working of miracles. You believed in all the supernatural gifts. But after we got big, we learned more about it. We went off without Jesus, just like they did. And trouble come in. I don’t see how God would have mercy on us. But He has.
