Celebrating a glorious life and legacy β¨οΈ π.

(In Christ, we don't loose our loved ones)
π΄ On Friday morning, my sweet mom passed on to be with the Lord. You know, the Bible is very clear as to where a child of God goes, and that was something that was clear to us.
π΄ It turned out, I think all of usβall of us have been with her in the last several weeks, actually, and we had a good time to share our thoughts with her. For me, personally, in the last several years, maybe six or seven years, there was no time that I got to be with her without saying to her how much I appreciated her for the things she did for me.
π΄ Always, and she would say, βYes, you always say that.β But the more I said it, the more she loved it. And I loved to tell her because it was true. I said, βMommy, you know, Iβm so grateful to you for all the things you taught me.β And I would say, βThank you for teaching me how to brush my teeth. Thank you for teaching me how to dress. You and Dad taught me so many things. Iβm so grateful to you.β
π΄ So I looked at her and said, βYou know, Iβm preaching today to the whole world, but itβs because of you and Daddy. Thank you for giving me and my siblings a home where we could know Jesus Christ. Thank you for showing us the right path.β I said, βIf you didnβt do that, I donβt know what would have happened. But thank you for doing it.β
π΄ I said that to her again and again, at least in the last seven years. I would say that to her constantly. And all these past few weeks, it seemed obvious that maybe the time was near. But I just wanted her to know, again and again, how grateful I was.
π΄ So today, Iβm not eulogizing her. Thereβs a time for that. But I definitely loved my mom. She was amazing. She was so sweet. And I think when you look at me, you can tell. Thatβs why they used to say among the children I resembled her the most.
π΄ But we will be announcing the funeral ceremonies when we intend to do that. It just happened yesterday (Friday), and weβve had these programmes, so we havenβt had the opportunity to make those decisions, which we will. And youβll get to know.
π΄ But the many of you already who have gotten to know and who are already sending messages, I thank you for all of that. My mom was so kind. She was so wonderful. She was one of a kind. One of a kind. One of a kind. One of a kind.
π΄ Apart from when I would talk to her about how grateful I was, on my own, just praying to God, Iβd often thank God for the home where I grew up. And Iβd say, βThank You for my mother. Thank You for my dad. Thank You for giving them the courage to read the Bible to us, to correct us, to take us to church.β
βοΈI said, βThank You.β
π So, Iβm grateful. Just grateful.
π΄ I told my siblings, I said, βWe ought to be thankful.β I said, βWe have many people who didnβt have their mother or their father all these many years. Some of them, their father or their mother or both passed on while they were still very young. At least we had ours all the years until now.β
βοΈAnd then, sheβs not lost.
π΄ You know, somebody said, βPastor Chris loses Mom.β No, I didnβt lose Mom.
π In Christ, we donβt lose them.
π΄ You only lose the ones that didnβt believe in Jesus Christ. No, we donβt lose them. The Bible says, whether we are present or absent, we are the Lordβs.
> βTo be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.β
See it? No process.
π΄ Soon as she was absent from the body, she was immediately present with the Lord.
How glorious. How glorious.
π΄ So, Iβm looking forward to a celebration of life for her. Iβll let you know what the plans are.
