Unfiltered teachings

Everybody says,

"As long as you love each other,
God understands."

But does love alone
define a godly relationship?

Or does Scripture?

Worldly dating asks:

"How happy can this person make me?"

Christian dating asks:

"Will this relationship help both of us obey Christ?"

One pursues chemistry.

The other pursues holiness.

One is built around feelings.

The other is built around purpose.

"Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness..."
— Matthew 6:33

If God comes first in every area of life...
why should dating be the exception?

Many relationships fail
because they began
with attraction,

instead of direction.

Love is beautiful.

But love without biblical direction
can still lead people away from God.

A relationship isn't healthy
simply because it lasts.

It's healthy
when it draws both people
closer to Christ.

The real question isn't,

"Do we love each other?"

The real question is,

"Does the way we love
honor God's Word?"

Because the strongest relationship

isn't the one
with the most romance,

it's the one
where both people
keep choosing Christ
over themselves.

Grace welcomes us.

But genuine love for Christ
is seen in a heart
that willingly follows His commands.

The difference
isn't just who you're dating.

It's who is leading
the relationship.

So...

if Christ isn't at the center,

what exactly
is holding it together?
